My new words/concepts of the week are chiastic structure and peripety.

"What a revoltin' turn of events" probably sums up peripety.  Now if I could only remember which comic strip was the source of that expression.

Don't go there until you have your papers graded and your grants requested!  No, really, I mean it!

I got steak down as soon as I realized smaller bites and lots of chewing only worked if I did it all very slowly.  And I was anemic enough that I actually craved red meat.  Chicken can still get me, I usually have Miracle Whip Lite or some other slippery edible substance on the plate for emergency slidieness.

Remember that our blood-work is about six months behind what is going on in our bodies.  In other words, we have some vitamins and minerals stored up so our indiscretions don't show up immediately.  The same theory goes with protein.  If you don't give your body enough complete proteins, it will cannibalize to get what it needs.   I know that you already know this stuff, think of it as a public service announcement.

I, too, like big words.  I am putting the website in my favorties.

I do eat small bites and chew crazy.  I am just not doing well and have never done well with meat.  Yesterday, I ate an egg for breakfast, peanut butter for lunch, and for diner I had about two or three bites of cheese and roast.  The roast was so tender that I pulled it apart instead of cutting it. 

Getting my protein in has always been my downfall.  My ulcer, the docs think, prevents me from eating a lot of things.  Today, I am babying my pouch.
