i just get the feeling it is going to be a long day today...working extra and then michael has a dr appt -follow up on his cholesterol...
i did NOT get the cemetery flowers done- we got company at 830 last nite- cute couple that lives down the street- they got married the night before michael's son died in 2006--they  announced last nite that they are expecting in november! so--have to do the flowers tonite- as well as other packing stuff!

and right this minute i think i need more sleep....

found out this morning that the battery for my laptop that i have been waiting on will not be coming! the order was cancelled due to being out of stock and no one notified me-dang it!!so now i have to try to hunt one down before our trip....it works fine if plugged in but would be nice to have battery capability....

time to get dressed and lovely for the day......
hugs and prayers

HI all,

Today, I am going to try to get my nerve up and go to a "meeting".  I think there is one at the Catholic church at noon.  With my hubby home, unemployed at the moment, it is hard to get away sometimes.  I want to get a little sun today.  I may try to get my bike out for a few minutes and see how it does after a long hard winter.

Yesterday, we went for an afternoon ride on the Virago.  Tomorrow, I'm supposed to go to Wellsboro.  I am trying to talk hubby into taking me on his bike.  We would have to leave around 9am.

I think it is going to be a good day!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Up early this morning after a pretty much sleepless nite.....got maybe 3 hrs or less....

Taking my next door neighbor to be with her relative while she has cataract surgery at 7 a.m. this morning...

Work this morning, and handbell practice this evening, otherwise I'll probably get a nap in this afternoon.   Have chicken thawing in the
refrigerator to put in the crock pot later.

It's to get up to 80 here today......too warm for me!!

Have a great day!

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

Margo, I'd be too excited about the trip to do much of anything else. Hopefully, you can pick up a laptop battery from some place else ... OfficeMax, Staples or any place like that? Or Best Buy? Don't know what you have there.

I have a bit of a headache this morning; I can feel it coming from the back of the neck. No rain in the forecast, so I don't know what's up. It's beautiful today, but very windy. Maybe it's allergies
-- Weather Channel desktop thingie says pollen is very high, so
I have the windows closed and the air is on. I hate running it,
but I also hate allergy problems more. So I don't open windows
until June, after the trees are done budding.

Got the report on my mammogram: All is normal, fortunately. So
I'm good for another year on that. Next up in June is my yearly
physical at my PCP, then the bariatric center.

Stayed up late last night to watch the White Sox game because,
finally, they won. They beat the Twins 6-2. Then I finished the
book I was reading.

Well, not much else happening here. Have a good day.

Morning Lovlies (and our handsome gentlemen)

Margo, what a drag about the battery!  Hope you can find one for a reasonable price before your trip.

One of our co-workers, who has a marvelous sense of humor, is giving us a good old fashioned garden party next week. So, for the fun of it, I've decided to get some inexpensive hats and decorate them up, as gawdy as possible, for each of us to wear. Since Tess and Jeff are going out of town this weekend there will be no Bella production, and it's going to rain anyway. Might as well have a fun project to keep me busy!

Not much else to report from Central AR. Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Susan

Good Morning all! Not much different going on here still trying to get things set up for the garage sale at my cousins in French Lick. Also this afternoon going to an appointment with a new doctor. I dread it too. This is the first female PCP doctor I have ever gone to. That is not as much a problem as the fact that she is from the middle east somewhere. The only problem with that is I have a really hard time understanding most people with that type of accent. When the customer service callers are from say India I can't understand a word they are saying. This doctor was recomenede by a man who works with my husband. I have no idea how strong her accent so wish me luck understanding her.
We went out to the guys house that we are sharing a garden with last night and put what little plants we had in the ground. It has been so wet that we couldn't even mud them in until last night. Took all this time to get it slightly tilled up. They said on the news last night that the farmers are at least 3 weeks behind with only 24% of the corn being in. The farmers are going to try some kind of corn that doesn't take as long to produce the ears. Good luck to all the farmers! By the way I wish I had the Virago we used to have so I could take a spin on it today as the temperature is going to be close to 80 and it is going to be sunny. SO Shoutjoy enjoy that lovely bike for me too! Ya all have a great day! TTFN!!! Michelle

Go Red Wings !!

Go Tigers !!
Well, today is errand day and shopping.  I hate shopping, but I do have a list, so I'll get what I need and get back here to walk the dogs.  I've been really bummed lately.  My girlfriend's husband has been diagnosed with ALS.  He's 60.  My hubby is almost 60 and is still working.  I want him to retire so we can spend some quality time enjoying ourselves together.  I told him about Larry's diagnosis and I think it's getting to him.  I think he's finally realizing there's more to life than working and money.  I hope so.

Well, good day to everyone.  Enjoy the nice weather, if you have it!
