Good morning Sunshine!

Samo, samo for me.  Except I did better today.  I had 15 M&Ms total.  I was a relatively good boy.  Had pretzels with Laughing Cow cheese.

And my normal 5 quarts of Crystal Light.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Morning to you, sweet Linda. I hope that today is good for you and your doctor appointment is a good one. I have one this morning with the surgeon and I hope that he does something with this navel thing. I am at my wit's end with it. I can't take much more and since Monday will be 4 weeks since surgery I am ready to move on to bigger and better things. One good thing is that I will more than likely lose the last JP drain. That is not a good but great thing!

I am sitting here and I am hungry......just give me a bit and it will go away. It is way to early to eat breakfast. It is just 25 after 5 in the morning so if I eat now I will be crazy all day. Can't have that.....I am already nuts enough without helping it along. ha ha

B: sf oatmeal
L: not sure probably a frozen entree of some sort
D: stuffed pepper (no I didn't make them the other day but will today) along with steamed veggies
S: probably nothing or a package of cookies

I just make the stuffed peppers with the ground round with onion and spices. Nothing fancy...just the same way my Mom made them. I tend to cook just like her. I think that is a good thing since she was a wonderful cook. She was a great baker and that I am not. I never was to much on baking....Mom on the other hand made all sorts of things from scratch....which is why here I sit a bit more than a year and half out from having gastric by pass surgery! ha ha  I must admit though that she or no one else forced it down my throat that is for darn sure.

I guess I will get going. Just sitting and watching Morning Joe on MSNBC. I use to watch him all the time and got out of the habit......not sure if I will get back into it or not.

I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers for you and yours as always.....just put one foot in front of the other and before long you will be at the end of the day and ready for another one. Don't forget to smile and spread happiness and joy where you go. Have a wonderful day today, dear one.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda, the green peppers sound yummy and healthy.
I did not go to the doctors as I heard of a friends death, and it got to me,and I could not sleep. Her husband, who my ex brother in law came in and found her dead on the floor.
I am pretty down, but it will pass.
Take care honey.

Revision on 08/16/12
Good morning, Linda.

I have to whine a bit.  I haven't seen my bariatric surgeon since 2/20/09.  I usually see him once a month, but he moved his practice from KY to IL and sees patients in KY only once a month.  Those KY appointments are almost impossible to get, so I finally agreed to hike out to IL to see him today.  Last night his office called to tell me the doctor won't be able to see patients today.  They're supposed to call me today to reschedule.  This is the third time they've rescheduled an appointment since he moved and I'm getting really annoyed.  The lap-band doesn't work without fills, and if I had wanted a surgeon in IL, I would've gone to Chicago where at least there'd be interesting things to do (like shopping!).  The bariatric dept. at the KY hospital where I was banded is still looking for a new bariatric surgeon and might have one on board by June.  Meanwhile I need to see a danged surgeon about getting a danged fill!  NOW!

So, my project for today is to call my two local bandster friends and get the names of their surgeons.  One is in KY and the other is in Memphis.  I just hope they'll accept a patient who was operated on by someone else.  Wish me luck...

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: tofu & veggy curry
S: cheese
D: broiled catfish, citrus-horseradish sauce, lima bean dip
S: strawberries w/ light sour cream & Splenda brown sugar

Hijack Jean.  Sorry to hear you will have to travel to have your fills.  That's a bummer.  One of the reasons I opted not to have the lap band was that I would have to travel many miles to have the fills.  When you live out on the prairie there are alot of obstacles to overcome but learn to adjust to.  I hope you get a new bariatric doc close to you Jean.
I also like to see what different things you eat.  You Gourmet You!!

Best wishes,

Sandy

Jean, you have every right to b cheesed off. I have heard of such things happening with bandsters, and I would feel abandoned.
I hope you find a doctor close who can take care of you!

Linda, I wish you well with your tests today.
B - protein shake
S - protein shake
L - either another protein shake or I'll have to go to the cafeteria for something (forgot my lunch)
S - don't know, will be heading out early this afternoon for an appt with my neurologist
D - again, don't know - I'll be on my own.  George has graduation at the college where he works and must attend.  I've been invited, but come on who wants to sit through a college graduation unless it's for your own child.  I called my son to see if he was available to go out for dinner, maybe Chinese, but his vacation ends today.
S - yogurt
