Thanks so much for the kind and loving words, CV Linda. I just needed to hear something like that. I am sitting here watching my one and only soap opera and then I am going to get a book and go sit on my swing and enjoy it. I have wanted to do that and my gosh I am going to today. It is like you said....I need Brenda time. Just for me and no one else. I deserve it and so I am taking it.

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda.  you are just too upbeat of a person to get depressed.  I look forward to reading your posts and you lift me up.  Hopefully this little story will lift your spirits.
The other night I was dreaming that I was in a cross country bicycle race, over hills and thru ditches and streams.  Well, I was peddling up to the top of a hill and my three girlfriends were cheering me on, I was almost to the top peddling, peddling when I hear, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"  I said peddling.  He said "well cut it out, you've got the whole bed going"  I woke up and started laughing and laughed for a good 20 minutes before I could go back to sleep.  Hubby said the sheets were flying and my legs were a goin....  Just picture it.  it was too funny.
Well, it made me laugh anyway.  Hope you can get out of your funk quickly.  Enjoy your me time.

Jan, that was so funny. I just cracked up and that happened while I was on the phone with my sister. I think she said something funny at the same time but I am not sure.

Thanks for making me laugh a good one today......I needed that.

And BTW.....I pictured that in my mind and wondered what Bill would do if that happened to me and him.......I could just picture his face on that one!!!!

Brenda,I am not answering all the posts today,but I had to send you a special hug and  prayers. Our Father watches over us. I know this is awful for you baby,but do not let the devil pull you down.
Please do something to make yourself feel better.
If the depression continues,please tell your doctor.
You have a right to feel sadness,this is very hard.
Please remember I am a phone call away.

Hi Linda,
I got a grip finally and I have been on track for two days in a row now. Here goes day three:
B - Protein Bar
S - few spoonfuls of blueberries and yogurt
L - Lean Cuisine chicken entre
S - finish off the blueberries and yogurt
D - Out with DH - Probably something off the WW menu at Applebee's
I'll be walking in our duo town parade on Memorial Day.  This is the first time in six years since my weight made my arthritis so bad.

Bev,I was really worried about you!! I am so happy you are OK. With all you have been through,you can not let a 10 or 15 pound gain control you,and I am happy you are not.
Marching in a parade...yowsa!!! How good does it get??

Linda,
Your post made me laugh out loud today.  Maybe because I could really relate.  Think it is all that chili I eat.

Did pretty good yesterday except for a piece of cake.  Dinner out was postponed until tonight so I had a Lean Cuisine pizza at home.

Here's the plan for today:
B coffee, Kashi and yogurt
L 2 cheese sticks and some bell pepper
D fish and vegies
S cherries and SF ice cream

Now this is a problem.  Nothing is really eating me, but I'm eating everything, and a holiday weekend is coming up.  I guess I'll just start over after the weekend.  I really need to start journaling my food intake, but I'm a lazy son of a lady.  I have to get back in the practice of doing that because in 81 days I'll be in surgery.

Jani,I understand you may have to scale back and change your lifestyle. I however do not think you should be too hard on yourself,you can start putting your food down,even right here if you like.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,be gentle on yourself,from Desiderata...
