Just processed my request to leave an hour early from work.  I have a 2PM doctor appt, so I have to get up earlier than normal.  Urologist.  Not looking forward to it.

Tonight I am working and I hope to go to the gym after work.  Saturday is work again, followed by gym and then just rest at home?  Can this be true?  Ranger game comes on at 3 PM, so I will try to catch it.  Catch up on some of my tv shows.  Sunday is Church, watch Ranger game and rest again?  Me?  Work Sunday night, then get home at 7AM, and have to leave at 9:30 AM for the Ballpark.  Rangers are playing the Yankees.  Pregame concert.  Navy swearing in ceremony and a flyover.  I will be by myself while Mary works, so I think I will try to get in an area where I can get a good picture of the flyover.

Then the countdown begins for vacation.  One week from Sunday we leave for Louisiana.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I'm supposed to sleep?  Now I have to redo my entire schedule for the weekend!

I am fortunate enough to have two jobs, at which, combined, I do less work than most typical 40 hour weeks.  God has definitely blessed me.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

ok now i am ticked--first the laptop battery never showed cuz it was out of stock--(but i found another!) now this morning- the $107 laptop bag on wheels that is TSA approved  isn't coming-the company that makes it closed their doors...i was expecting it today and i get the email today----what the heck??????? i think i'll shop at staples or office max on my way to michigan tonite--dang it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got a quick call from carla last nite! she sounds good-not only was her computer in her daughter's car-also her meds!!! she got a doc out there to write for her so all is  ok!!! then we got interrupted so .....

so tonite after work; i drive to white pigeon to meet my mom--haven't seen her in 16 months so it will be nice--tho she knows nothing about panama yet or any potential (distant) move...that should not be good....i packed last nite and did well- so there won't be much to do to get ready after work....michael is, of course, having tantrums that i am leaving him home...(he gets jealous of the OFF gtg's and stuff!)

went tanning yesterday- my face still is not showing any tan but i am sure it is getting some....i just don't wanna burn to a crispy on our trip!!!!

work was long yesterday-hoping today can fly by.....this time next week we will be in the plane and about ready for takeoff!!!! whooooooooo hooooooooo!!!!

oh- i have been commenting about not getting enough sleep-it isn't the excitement of the trip--it's i'm going to bed way too late for how early i have to get up!!!!! my own durned fault!!! but the daylight savings time does that to me--i get involved in things and it doesn't seem like bedtime ..ouch!

it occured to me last nite that i may not have internet where we are staying this weekend so i may not be online again til monday...hope everyone has a safe weekend...please remember our vets..raise your hand swiftly and strongly to your heart as you see that flag...Memorial Day weekend makes me miss two things-as a young girl; our neighborhood would have a bike parade-all the kids would decorate our bikes-streamers and playing cards in the spokes-and we would ride the circle of our street-also when two of my three kids were in the band in high school--parade rte was not far from our house and the pride of watching my kids in the parade in Lorain was awesome to me!!!!i'm choking up thinking about it!

hugs and prayers

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.  Pray for our vets.
My niece, her kids and her hubby just left my house to head up north.  It was great seeing her, but we don't have kids at home any more and with her five it was quite busy here.  The youngest is 6 and the oldest 18.  I raised two boys and had forgotten how active boys are.  The three youngest were rolling around the family room floor complaining about being bored.  and loud, OMG.  Hubby went up to bed about 9:00.  he doesn't have much patience for that kind of thing anymore.  When he was younger he'd have been on the floor with them.
I've got a load of laundry in, the dishwasher going and now I've got to pack for the weekend.  We're going up north to relax.  We won't leave until probably 3 or 4 Saturday morning to beat the Friday night and Saturday traffic.  It takes about 4 hours to get up to our place.  We're taking the Harleys so it should be a very enjoyable weekend.
I have to make a batch of baked beans for my oldest son's party on Sunday.  Since we won't be here to attend, I'm still expected to supply my beans.  What are mothers for anyway?  I'll mix them and put them in the fridge and he can come over Sunday and get them and bake them in his oven.  I keep telling the kids they have to learn my recipe, but why do that when I'll make them?
Well, good times to all.

I bought a rowing machine. Where oh where shall we set it up? My craft room is the logical choice but it is going to be cramped. Tom will have a hissy fit when I need help moving furniture around. Moving furniture used to be easy. I'd shove stuff with my ample butt and away it would go. 207 lbs less shoving power makes moving a dresser rather difficult.

Nettie,

I remember when my ass was a mover and shover too!  Now, as Tony said the other day, I have no ass

Love you, Baby Sis, Laureen

Moring Sunshine!

Wow, so sorry about your internet orders. I'm sure you'll be able to get stuff locally, probably not at the same price, though.

George, YOU, REST?????  I can't imagine!  Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Jacki, yep, probably not the best idea to go doing a lot of walking on that foot yet. A nice quiet "you" weekend might not be a bad thing.

I went to the doctor yesterday to see about the excessive bleeding situation. If I cut myself it sometimes takes days to stop bleeding. I hit my arm on the corner of a glass top table the other day and went through 4 bandaids before it finally let up. I had to explain to my PCP about the lack of A,D,E & K vitamins, and perhaps my K levels were low? He ordered a bunch of lab tests, so over to the lab I went. Aparently, the vitamin K test is so rarely ordered the lab techs had to get their manual out to figure it out. Ended up taking 7 vials. The tubes filled up in record time, blood like water, even the tech commented on it. In the mean time, I've started taking vitamin K twice a day. I'll let you guys know what's happening when I get the results.

We had a full week of rain with beautiful weather for the last 5 days. Another system is headed our way with another week of wet stuff. So much for a nice sunny Memorial Weekend. That's ok, it's all good.

Hugs and smoochies to one and all!

Susan
