Hiya Linda Lady..  Hey, that bologna on whole wheat sounds good.  I haven't had one of those for 6 or months or before my WLS.  You sound good this morning,  Must have been all the rest you got.  Good for you.  I hope you are enjoying the Mem. Day weekend.  It is supposed to rain here tomorrow and Monday .  It is pretty dry around here so we can use it.

Good thoughts and Lotza Love,

Sandy

Good afternoon to you, our lovely and lovable Linda! I am glad that you got the rest....you needed it. I don't think you get enough of it on a regular basis.

Food for today is something I am not sure of. We went out for breakfast and I splurged. I had some french toast with sf syrup and some bacon. I haven't had either one for what seems like years.....it probably has been close to it too for that matter.

We are going to DS and DIL's for a cook out. I am not sure what we are having. I know that I got some potato salad and some frosted cookies for everyone. I am not sure what I am going to eat....protein I do know that for sure. For dinner I am not sure what is happening. I might not even want any for that matter. But if I do eat I know that it will be good for me. I will make sure of it. I am going to do the best that I can at the cook out too.

Have a wonderful Saturday and enjoy yourself and get rest through the day too. When your body is healing or ailing you need the rest for it to heal itself......I need to talk....hmmm....I should take my own advice! ha ha

I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for you and yours.....you know that is always happening.....I do it so many times during the day. Have a great day and spread sunshine to everyone!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I went to Sams Club yesterday and they had some good looking shrimp you could buy however much you wanted.  So I got a half pound and cooked it today with a little butter and cajun seasoning.  WOWIE ZOWIE, that is some good stuff. Have enough left for later or tomorrow. Might have to go back and get somemore.

Bologna sandwich?  Haven't had one in years but they are pretty good too.

Linda,

When I was in Frankfurt, Germany on a business trip a few years ago, I ate bologna sandwiches for breakfast (among other things scooped off the breakfast buffet) every day.  Yummy.  And I had frankfurters for lunch.  When in Frankfurt, do as the Frankfurters do.  Here's how they do it.  They get the frankfurter in a roll (as we do).  Then they take the frankfurter out of the roll with their fingers, take a bite of the frankfurter, and take a bite of the roll.  Chew, swallow, and repeat.  Even the most elegant ladies in fur coats used this technique.

Another useless piece of information from the trash can I call my mind.

I want to thank you and all our other OFF friends who were so kind to me yesterday when I was upset about my surgeon's escapades and loss of his medical license.  After reading some of the details about his case on a news website, I decided I don't want to know another thing about his personal life.  What matters is that he did a good job putting in my band and adjusting it.

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: egg salad
S: lima bean dip
D: chicken, cucumbers in dill sauce
S: strawberries with sour cream & brown sugar

Jean you made me laugh. I can also understand about the ladies eating their "soul food".
To this day,I can not eat greens and cornbread in public,as I was raised mushing my cornbread into my greens and eating them with my fingers, much as the Hawaiians with their special food, which must be an aquired taste,I found it yucky!!
Jean, you had plenty reason to be upset about the doctor. Giving him credit for his excellent treatment of you shows what a good, fair minded person you are.
I think it wise of you to not try to dig deeper into this man's history as it would serve no purpose.
Have a great evening, and thanks for being here!
