i'm home and getting ready for bed- tomorrow morning work will be here quickly

my laptop would not work --not sure what the prob is exactly--um--even if the battery is old and no good shouldn't it still work plugged into the wall????

the new battery got delivered to 417 main st on friday morning at 10:18 am--i live at 417 maple--so i picked it up there tonite at 930 when i found the tracking thingy online....it's charging up now--i bought a case at office max and it will have to do--that is IF i have a laptop to take with me!!!! i am soooooobummed right now----

took over 150 pics (they are off the camera now and on my home comp as well as a flashdrive for backup--but not indexed--later!) and had a wonderful time and so much to share but most of you aren't really interested i am sure!!!(cemeteries-dead ppl -tombstones-librarians- ) --however we had a chance mtg wth a live distant cousin --and it was so cool- she has been doing genie stuff since 1950-she's 82 now and so awesome--and such a fluke to have her arrive at this out of the way cemetery while we were there!!! my mom is just absolutely blown away as she is learning about her family ...and wondering why she never knew about all of these ppl and the cemeteries.....

anyhow- have not had time to read and catch up-and this week will be nutso getting ready for our trip-we leave thursday nite and fly out friday morning at 6buttcrack am.

i've missed you.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Sounds like you had a great time, even if the computer didn't work. What a drag! Hope you get it figured out before the BIG trip!

We'll catch up later

I am so glad your Mom really got into it, she will never forget it. Sounds like a fabulous trip to me. My Mom, Liz and I did that a few weeks ago in an area of Kansas. My granddads Dad was a doctor who died treating people in the flu epidemic of 1918. We went down there and found an old town ( almost gone because of 2 town fires over the years) Found the house where great great greats had lived, we have pictures of them on the porch. There was a highschool that had been turned into a antiques mall, we went in and my mom found old school yearbooks with scads of her cousins in them, as she told stories someone said, he still lives here down the road. So we went and talked with a couple of her cousins. One man I just wanted to hug, he looked SO much like my late grandpa. I will forever have the picture in my mind of these old people( my mom and her cousin), sitting on the porch talking about times they played together as little children. They had not seen each other since childhood. Those are precious times, I am so glad you made the effort to do that. Got your box..thank-you thank-you, I had such a good timelooking at the pictures. My mom looked at them and said. " I seldom see that smile on your face" Your such a sweetie,
JeanB
