It's afternoon already. I had to work this morning. It was a pleasant shift, not bad at all.

Tom and I took flowers to the cemetery. Neither of my siblings have ever taken the time to do that. Mom would have fainted if they did.

I make sure to put flowers on my grandparent's grave also. They were an important, loving part of my life.

One year, when Mom was still with us, the Veterans forgot to put a flag on Dad's grave. Mom was terribly upset. Tom grabbed one from another site and told her the wind blew it away. She was content after his little slight of hand. We returned it to the rightful site when she got back in the car.

It has been 7 years since Dad passed and almost 4 since Mom joined him. Yeah, I still get all weepy.

Good morning my dear friend Linda.....

Life isn't so happy right now. I am struggling with the whole Kyleigh situation. It wasn't a good scene!

My BIL died suddenly and the funeral is Wednesday. That means I have to deal with my brother that molested me as a child. I was so hoping I wouldn't have to see him ever again.

I did leave the house long enough to go to the cemetary to put flower arrangements in the planters at my parents graves.

My eating isn't so good right now.....I better get back on track by tomorrow!!

Sorry I am so negative...just needed to vent!

Hope you had a relaxing weekend!!

Love you sweetie...gentle hugs...Boo...to you!

Hi Marc

Miss you on here.  You always add something a little different and special.

What does "pretty well" mean?  Are you still working?

Thanks Barb... the job is going great... and I am up for another position (HUGE pay raise) and have been through all the testing and interviews and am now just waiting and hoping and praying...

"Pretty well" means my eating sucks... still not on any program other than the see-food diet... my wood turning is going well... very happy with the results and some of my stuff is selling...

Onward!!

Linda,

What I have to say is totally unrelated to WLS. It's all about my dog-management thing.  But I think most OFF members will know what I mean when I say:

I swear, F-Troop came through here today.

Don't remember F-Troop? It was a popular TV series in the mid 1960's, set at Fort Courage, KS, a fictional Army Civil War outpost. It featured a gallant but chronically clumsy and accident-prone captain and a troop of idiots.

The captain would be...me.

I have consumed 1 protein shake and virtually nothing else today.  I tried to eat egg salad for lunch - no go - and chicken salad for supper - no go.  But I have gained 6 FREAKING pounds in the past week.  Got to be sodium, but I want to trash this scale and buy a new one.

Please, someone, shake me senseless!

Jean

Hi Jean

I don't think it's unusual to have weight fluctuations of 5 or more pounds within a week or two simply due to fluid retention. At least that's the case with me. Your menus always sound healthy and good so unless you're eating lots of junk I'm sure the scale with go the other way soon. Investing in a good scale is probably a good idea too.
