Talk away-it's Tuesday!
as excited as i was to get home to my own bed and my dogs; i had a very difficult time getting to sleep last nite-and the alarm wasted no time this morning!
last nite i posted about the laptop--the laptop STILL isn't working and i dunno what is wrong--it starts up and goes thru part of the wake up stuff then it just "sits" there- no nothing on the screen--and it's not putting out enough juice to power the hub USB port or the wireless thingy...the new battery is charged ---i wanted very very badly to take this with us to panama so i could have contact with my family and all of you and i am at wits' end--the budget does not allow a repairman at this point-nor a new laptop-anybody have nay ideas???????
so-today is work and the pharmacy to try to get ins company to fill 2 scrips early for michael for our trip--they aren't due to be fille dtil teh morning that we fly out but we fly at 6 am....so the pharmacy has to call ins comp to ask permission...i'm hoping and praying !!!!
then i need to get my act together to pack--really hoping to pack everything into one suitcase to be checked --would have loved to only pack in carryons but i don't see that happeing--tho i am going to try!!!
ok- i need to get gorgeous and get to work- an extra hour today and a half tomorrow and i think i am good to go--shooting to leave an hour early on thursday and have friday off -which i will have covered for pay purposes-next week will be without pay-ouchies!
hugs and prayers........

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi,
I'm no repair person but I keep the laptop plugged in. I rarely use my laptop on battery only. I am not sure why you have nothing on the screen unless your monitor is bad. Maybe your harddrive isn't spinning up. Your battery may need replacing. Could be alot of things. I'll ask my hubby. He is good with this stuff.
Not alot planned for today. I am hoping it doesn't get rainy. I seriously need to get my bycicle out and start riding it. I am getting too lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning Margo and everyone......
Just checking in. I have a long workday ahead of me and need to get at it. Four days off is great until you have to face the extra work afterwards....ugh!!
I am hoping and praying that this week is a better one then the last.
Margo....I hope you get that laptop up and running. I am all but computer illiterate so I can't help you out with that. By the way....you don't need to go get gorgeous you already are!!!!
Have a wonderful day everyone....I will check in later as I get the chance.
Special prayers to those in need.
Share an extra smile with someone today!
Love and hugs to all.....connie d

How was your Memorial Day? You probably think mine sucked, because my Rangers took an old fashioned butt whupping. But really, it did not.
I left work two hours early so I could get some sleep. Got home at 5:15, went to sleep near 6. Got up at 8:30 to go to the game. Got there a little after 10, went in and put my stuff at my seat. Went out to the concert area to listen to Brandon Rhyder. I am not a big country fan, so after 3 songs, I was out. All three songs were about him losing his girlfriend in one way or another. That boy is depressed.
Then the fan experience and the game. A very nice gentleman from NY sat next to me and we talked the entire game. I almost got in a fight with a Rangers fan sitting in front of me because of his profanity. I asked him to please watch his language there are ladies and kids around. He swore again, and stared at me. I calmly said "I asked nice." He just stared at me the rest of the game. And he had to turn around to do it.
Anyway, we lost 11-1. But it is only one game. At the end of the season, this game does not matter. What matters is the game you lose 4-3 and had a runner on 3rd with no outs and didn't score. Or the game you led 3-2 and your relief pitcher gives up 2 runs for a loss. This game..... just a butt whuppin'. Nothing else. Tomorrow is another game.
Busy week ahead. 20 hours of work at my full time job before I go on vacation. I am so excited. Friday is a Rangers doubleheader, Saturday is an Eddie doubleheader and a single Rangers game. Five ball games in two days. I'm loving it.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
I sure understand about the butt-whupping ... the Sox had a 20-1 loss last week, but the one that hurt the most was the 4-3 one where the closer blew it with two runs in the ninth, just as you described. But, then last night we delivered a butt-whupping, so that was fun.
I don't go to many games anymore, but last year went to a Sox game and sat in a nest of Red Sox fans up in the nosebleed seats (uncomfortable for me only because of the climbing I had to do with my bad knees and back). Anyway, it was enjoyable because I sat next to a woman who had just moved to Grand Rapids from Boston, so we talked about the area, about cats (she needed a cat sitter, I knew one), about baseball, etc. Her friends were annoyed that she was talking to a White Sox fan during the game, but hey, we all love baseball, despite our allegiances to different teams. In the end, that's what matters.
Good for you to standing up to the guy with the profane language at the ballpark. I'll admit to cursing myself, but I watch it when there are kids around. They don't need any lessons in advanced language. Adults should know better. In Michigan, you can actually get arrested for that!
