Good morning everyone.

My weekend was nice, spent it with my sister that I found after 24 years. First holiday weekend we spent tog ether ever, so we enjoyed it. We took her out to eat at Golden Corral. It was the third time she had been out to eat in 10 years, so we let her pick theplace. I ate fruit and protein so I did ok. She had a ball. She has lived totally alone all these years so it is quite the change for her to have family. We are so anxious for her apartment to come open here so she can move and be part of our lives.

Not a lot going on this week, but this weekend my grandson Tyler graduates highschool. He won a big scholarship last week he is so excited about nursing school. He says there are not enough male nurses out there, and there are always gonna be sick people to take care of. He has been a volunteer at the hospital the last two years, so he knows thats what he wants to do. Everyone there says he has a gift for people..so we are proud.

Im in the sewing mode, starting Christmas gifts. Ihave a quilt top that my mom made many many years ago. Im finishing the quilt for my sister , she never got to be with Mom much after the age of 5, so it will be precious to her. Im making baby gifts too, new great grandbaby comin in August!

So, I have plenty to keep me busy. Just wanted to jump in here and say good morning!

Many get excited if they are first to post in the morning, I am excited if I make it on the first page. I have been off work for 4 days, it was wonderful but just flew by and I DONT want to be here. I drove 38 miles to attend the Memorial service of my Legion town but I must have gotten the time wrong, when I was getting out of the car everyonewas heading to the hut for coffee and donuts, opps. I took a back road on the way home just because it is such a pretty drive, stopped at a good friens house who I hardly see anymore, then went to Menards and spent to much money. The last thing my dad gave me was a bird feeder. I put it out every summer, it is looking very warn, the wood naked, I spray it every now and then with sealer, but it is time for a make over so I bought barn red paint for the body and grey for the lid. I can hardly wait to get home and clean it and sand it and paint it..It doen't take much to excite me.. Made cabin reservations for Faith, Zack and myself yesterday for the 15th and 16th of June. I called Faith and she is so excited. Boss comes back to work tomorrow so when I want to cry, I will just think ahead to our mini vacation. Last evening went to Liz and Rays for a cook out and got lots of snuggle time in. Ray & Liz celebrated their first anniversery on Sunday, wow what a busy year it has been. Liz and I watched Jon & Kate plus 8. It was very sad, Looks like they will be spliting up.  Wel, I must get out a slew of reports this morning. Make it a special day, Blessings

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

It's nearly 11:30 ... I slept til nearly 10, later than I wanted, but it's gray and gloomy here and only 58 degrees. Brrr! It got chilly overnight. It was a gorgeous day yesterday but I stayed home and got some stuff done. Today, I have to go to the dentist and get this tooth that has been bothering me fixed ... or at least looked at and then fixed later. I don't know what they'll do. The place I go to has a couple of dentists, and I started out with Dr. Kirkwood, who I'll see today. Sometimes I get Dr. Bruinsma instead.  They have a third guy now too. Dr. Kirkwood was the new guy when I started there. I like the two guys very well ...I used to be so afraid of the dentist when I was a kid because we had a very painful dentist and I had a lot of cavities, but every dentist I've had since I've been an adult has been very good.

I'm off today, so I'm happy. I thought about a movie and may still do that after the dentist if my mouth isn't all numbed up. Or maybe not. Depends on my mood. My body's  hurtin' a bit, probably because of the weather.

Stayed up late last night to watch the White Sox win, 17-3 or 4, I can't remember. It was, in George's words, a butt-whupping. A good game if you're a White Sox fan, not so good if you're an Angels fan, and it was in Anaheim. But I enjoyed it. Read a lot of my Time magazine, about the future of work (very interesting ... health care, of course, will be very big) and my book, "The King's Grace" about King Henry VII and the York family and the turmoil there ... I'm very big in that period of history. It's historical fiction, so there's a big of truth in it. Got it with my birthday money, but then saw it in the book sale too ... darn, I could have gotten it for less!

Also did 30-35 minutes on my exercycle while talking to Paulette ... I cycle well while talking to folks, not so well on my own. Applied for a job online to the Rapid City Journal. I'm sure I won't get called on this one because I make too much and they don't want to pay that much. But, as my friend Margie in South Dakota said, you never know. I put her down as a reference. Not that I really want to move back to the Dakotas, but the Black Hills are beautiful.

morning....or should i say afternoon....LOL

been missing here for a few days...guess nobody missed me huh??? LOL

called into work early friday and man i was so darn busy all by myself!!! worked 10 hours and then back early saturday morning for another busy 8 1/2 hours!!!! then back again sunday for another busy 7 1/2 hours!!! then yesterday it was a S L O W monday working for another 7 hours. i hurt head to toe!!!! i have never in my life seen so many filthy people!!!! makes me wonder if they leave messes like that at home!!!! gezzzz if it wasn't overflowing icee it was spilled pop!!!! all over the counters and floor!!! then the tables...omg!!!!! glad i am off now for 3 days to recouperate!!!!! my knee is really hurting and also my back and shoulder area. i am so pooped out from working so hard all by myself!!! with it being the holiday weekend you would think the hot dogs wouldn't sell...omg they sold and then some!!! and go figure....raining today and supposed to for the next 2 also!!!! GRRRRRRRR story of my life!!! so much for getting some sun....sighs

talked to mom saturday and she said my sister was in the hospital...panic attacks. guess she went in one day and they sent her back home...she went back the next day and they kept her...guess its pretty bad. not sure if she is still in or if she is home. i don't see her online so i am guessing she is still there. also mom told me that gary fell again but didn't get hurt and that he is really going down hill. she also told me that the house might be sold. yippee...if there is a profit he has to split that with me. not looking forward to that at all...lucky if they got what we owed on it.

getting some much needed laundry done this morning!! i finally got the washer and dryer wooohoooooo!!!!!!! even have enough to wash the bedspread and blankets so thats a plus

had a scare last night...was bringing bandit in the apartment after taking him out for potty time...the new neighbor was in the hall and she asked me if i heard how those kids talked...i said oh yeah they sure have a potty mouth on them...well next thing i knew her bulldog came out of her apartment and right after bandit!!!! he wasn't playing either!!! i pulled bandit so hard he came up into the air and away from that dogs teeth!!! OMG!!!!! talk about reliving the past all over again!!! i told her she better control that beast or else!!! i then went into the apartment and slammed the door and burst into tears.....will this nightmare ever end????

well going to get a shower in while clothes are washing and drying. glad to see that all are doing well and congrats to those that had their WLS and to those that got their date!!!!
