What's new Thursday?

Hi my OFF family:

Yes, it's payday, and my payroll deposit is where it should be, in my bank account, nice and early in the wee hours of the morning. That's the good news. The bad news is, I was trying to upload photos from my digital camera that I took this afternoon at our farewell party for the coworker at the brewpub. Oh, they were funny photos! One of my coworkers bought the outgoing coworker stuff to outfit him as a pirate, because Mike (the guy leaving) had said he was going to be a Great Lakes pirate (in jest, of course) and that one of the other guys leaving at the end of June would supply the boat (he sails). So Kim gave Mike a hat, toy telescope, eye patch ... well, you get the drift. I took photos and they were hilarious, but when I went to upload the photos, my software wasn't cooperating ... I thought I was transferring the photos from my camera to the file and what I wound up doing was deleting the photos and not moving them anywhere ... dumb, dumb, dumb. So the photos are all gone. I guess my brain was too tired for that task. It used to automatically move them over without me doing anything ... not anymore, I guess. Aaarrrgh! (That's a good pirate yell.)

The luncheon, otherwise, was a lot of fun ... it's always nice seeing my coworkers who work during the day (I see Kim every Friday and usually saw Mike once a month on Friday nights, and occasionally someone else on Friday nights).  Had half a sandwich and took the rest home to take for dinner at work. Later, my boss came in to work on the schedule. He's coming back to work the first full week of June, so it's good to see he's feeling better.

Anyway, chat on ... I'm off to bed to finish watching baseball and reading ... White Sox lost, not a big surprise,  good pitcher they faced tonight. Pollen count is down so I have the windows open and there's a nice cool breeze coming in. I have shopping and errands in the morning.

Have a good day.

Good morning all.  This might be my last post on the OFF for a week.  Will be going to Shreveport, Louisiana.  Gonna stay at Boomtown, visit with a buddy of mine who lives about one mile away from it.  Will gamble a little, but not much really.  Will probably limit myself to $100 for the 4 days.  And probably won't use it.

My big baseball weekend starts Friday.  Rangers doubleheader Friday at 4PM.  Grandson has a doubleheader at 8AM Saturday.  That is good.  The temperature will be in the low 70s at that time.  It will be over 90 later in the day.  They got a good draw.  Then, at 5PM the Casting Crowns will perform a 1 hour concert, followed by the Rangers game.  Sunday morning, Eddie will have a game, probably at 8AM, if not, 10AM.  Then we will go see Jana in her dance recital.  After that, off to Louisiana.  Hope to pull into the hotel by 8 PM.

Will miss you all, be back in a week.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Aaah George, I'm gonna miss you but hope you have a wonderful relaxing vacation.  I don't always post but try to read every day or every other.  I've caught some type of virus so have been feeling weak, dizzy and just not worth a darn.  I will get better I'm sure.
I hope all my pals here are doing great and I wish you all the best.

morning eileen and all!
glad to know your deposit was in already! i just did some checking too- have to cash a check today after work..

well- the laptop bit the dust! it was the motherboard--something-maybe milk-had spilled on it during a prior life sooooo i bought a small dell at walmart- bit the budget but i'll eat less in panama! i really feel the need to be connected to the world while we are gone-my kids etc....not just you guys!

we got absolutely inundated with rain yesterday afternoon--michael backed the car down to the door where i work and i still had about 6 inches of water to walk thru--main street in town was absolutely horrid...water was so high that i was afraid to have him drive thru it! but we got the dogs to their destination-and they are loving it!!! roxie is jumping baby gates and snuggling with little girls and loving being part of the flock...um herd...um pack....brody was excited-and started marking his territory-including but not limited to me! not pretty but ....washable! i miss them!!!!

he got the birds to their sitter too-

soooooo-after work we do the final pack and clean sweep of the house and we are on the road to detroit....and then to panama!

i'm packing protein bars and packets-i found designer whey pkts at meijer's for $1.29 each-orange mango is pretty tasty and i bought a few chocolate (standby!) --it'll do in a pinch for protein!

nothing else new or worth talking about i guess!

hugs and prayers................
