I started the blended stage yesterday.  Today I had egg salad for lunch.  I FEEL SO SICK.  I don't know if I ate it too fast or if it just doesn't agree with me.

Oh dear - I don't know about the VSG surgery and how food works.

With the RNY, I had/have trouble with eggs. they didn't smell or taste good and still don't. Still about the only food that makes me queasy.

Did you use mayo? Could that have caused a problem?

Go slow, take your time and try the egg salad again in a month or so. Perhaps then it will sit better.

Big hug

Hi, I too have trouble with eggs, not so much hard boiled but soft cooked.....they just don't sit well.   Try again in a month or so and see what happens.

I just started the pureed food myself. I had a scrambled egg for breakkfast the first day. It did not agree with me, either. I felt like I had eaten too much, then felt vaguely nauseous for an hour or so and very uncomfortable. I haven't had another egg, so I don't know if it was a one-time deal or if eggs and I won't get along for awhile. The Nut said some foods might not work at first, and to just wait and try them again at a later date. As to the mayo, I had some tuna with mayo tonight for dinner and feel fine. I plan on trying an egg again to see what happens. Good luck!

I too have difficulty with eggs.  I had looked forward to having scrambled, soft boiled and poached eggs after surgery. Ugghhh     I'm over a year out and still have difficulty with eggs even when I chew them to mush consistency.   You might be one of those who can digest them better after you have healed more...  Good luck

Its been 6 months for me and I still cant eat eggs. I    everytime I eat them.  Egss are not my friend.  Chicken does the same thing.  I try both of them once a month,  I am giving both up this month if I cant tolerate them.

Good luck.

Me too.  When I don't feel well scrambled eggs are what I turn to.

Don't dread it Dee.  Everyone is different.  You will have to do what is best for you.  Since my six week mark, I have had 2 eggs for breakfast about 98% of the time.  I normally have a two egg cheese omelet.  No problems at all for me.
