I haven't been on in a while and was trying to get caught up on everyone when I read something about Brenda having problems with her incision. Has anyone heard how she is doing and if the procedure got done this time? Could you let me know if you spoke to her and how she is doing? Thanks!

Hiya Snowy.the last posting I saw was from Eileen B.
She said  Brenda was back home from the hospital after the infection in her naval.
She is in a little pain, but is down to one drainage tube.
Hope this helps!

Hi, I am back and feeling a bit better. I got the infection taken out to the tune of 2 and a 1/2 to 3" deep. I now have a hole but at least the infection is gone. I am waiting to see if the visiting nurse is going to start coming out. I am hoping to hear something today. Otherwise I am going to have to either have Bill change it everyday (and watch him vomit....he has a very weak tummy) or go to the doctor's office everyday.

Jeez how I wish this whole nightmare was over and done with!

WOW! Sounds nasty! Glad to hear from you and good to hear you are on the mend. I would be right along vomitting with Bill. Blood is not my strong suit nor is needles. Hope you hear from that nurse soon! Got to get busy so I can go home soon! Have a great day!

So glad to have you back Brenda.  It's surprising how concerned we can get over someone we've never met.  I guess in our old age we just care more.  Life is more precious and living it well is the optimum.
My son had a cyst removed from his tailbone area (butt crack) last year and his wife couldn't stomach caring for it, so my 28 year old son came to Mommy and bared his butt.  I had to remove the packing, clean out the hole and then repack it.  I truly think I missed my calling.  I should have been a nurse rather than an accountant and HR Rep.  I love anything medical and watch it on TV all the time.
Well, I just got back from the library.  I picked up another two JD Robb books and I want to get into them.
Feel better soon.

when my hubby blew his bowel and they bagged him i had to pack and clean his open belly wound for weeks as well as changing his bag for 6 months..ugggghhhhh...but somebody hadda do it!!! what we do for love!!!! i have never wanted to be a nurse (tho i respect them all!)

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
