What's happening Monday?
I'm still not convinced mine is good (the second one). Still have some pain. Not constant, like the last time, but still painful.
I'd like a hot tub, actually. One house I rented in Georgia had a jacuzzi tub, so I could fill it up with ho****er, hit the jets and soak, then get clean water in there for the next night. Heaven! The only problem was getting in and out (and this was when I was obese). Fortunately, it was a very large tub. And she had a walk-in shower. Loved that house ... but she wanted to sell it and that's how I ended up in Michigan.

even funnier is that another couple is here looking-they are over in boquete (around the mountain) and are flying out saturday-maybe same flight as us--they live in sandusky-30 miles from our house!
and as i told annette, above, the guy who owns the restaurant next door was born and raised in ohio (jeanb and melissa-that would be paulding where he was raised)

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Happy Monday and hugz to all! Special Birthday hugs are in order and on their way! My weekend was pretty good. Friday I was too tired to go to the camp so Paul went without me. Sometimes space is good! That evening a friend I have been mentoring and walking with her thru some rocky marital times called. It was her birthday and she'd spent it all alone and was crying on the other end of the phone. I insisted that she get in her car and head to my house and she did. I greeted her with a big long hug and whispered in her ear that she may feel like crap but her hair smelled terriffic! We laughed some and cried some. and we spent the remainder of her birthday watching movies (Australia--my fav), eating popcorn (not me!) and at ten minutes past twelve, I announced that she had survived her birthday. We laughed some more and then she departed for home. I woke up Saturday morning to a glorious South Louisiana day--plenty of sunshine and a cool breeze and decided this was good motorcycle weather. I geared up and headed to the camp to meet the hubby. The road was submerged so he met me for a kiss and a hug and then I headed to my WLS angels house for some real good fellowship and some boiled crawfish on her back deck. There, we were entertained by a family of turtles, two small alligators, a butterfly and some very vocal songbirds. What a great way to spend a Saturday. Faye and I always share our recovery issues and whenever we've been together it always feels like good medicine. Yesterday morning we got to meet with our church family and feel the presence of God in a fresh vibrant way. The regular worship leader is out of town and the song service was turned over to the younger crowd who never cease to amaze me at their raw faith. The word that I carry with me today is---Never forget whose you are! It's a good word and very comforting today as I get ready to embrace a very full week at work--out of town travel to New Orleans for a hearing and lots of report stuff. Spent yesterday getting Michael ready for Youth Camp and managed to cook some really good mirlington (squash). My Monday morning weigh-in reflected a TWO POUND LOSS and I attribute it to my drastic measure (journaling food, fluid, activity) from Wednesday's revelation. Two pounds! I'll take it! I'll celebrate it! And I gear up for this week and whatever adventure it holds for me!
Hugs to each of you. I really do feel at home in this forum and feel so much gratitude for this wonderful place to EXHALE!

A Hale and Hearty Good Afternoon to Everyone!
I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted here. My DIL got me hooked on Farm Town on Facebook, and someone, not to mention any names (Darlene) got me interested in Yoville on Facebook. I can't believe that I'm turning into a gamer!
Well, this past Saturday I participated in the Susan G Komen Race for Cure 5K (for breast cancer) held in Detroit at Comerica Park (where the Det. Tigers play). I was one of 50,000 participants. What an event! I finished in 54 minutes, which is about a 17 minute mile. I would have had a better time but I was in the middle of the pack when the gun went off and working my way around 50,000 people wasn't easy. I guess, though, it's not too shabby considering 7 months ago my 332 pounds had a hard time walking from my car into the grocery store.
Panama Margo, to be next to a coffee plantation must be heaven! If there's anything I love, it's coffee. Dang, I do love a good cup of coffee. When you get home post some of your pictures. Can't wait to see what you're seeing!
Looks like it's time to think about dinner. Chicken sounds good, and some baked butternut squash and a tossed salad. I feel good about eating now, not disgusted with myself for eating. Does that make sense?
Peace & Love, Elaine
All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press
