What's Happening Wednesday?
It always just floors me that your garden produces so early. My favorite thing to do with Zuchini ( and ohhhh I LOVE zuchini) is to peal, slice, cook in pan with a little olive oil, add mushrooms, garlic and tomatoes, that all there is to it, it is fantastic over pasta with some parmasean cheese or just as a side dish. I am pouting now that I didnt grow any zuchinni this year. Oh well I wll have to wait for the farmers market. My dad made wonderful zuchinni cookies. And of course there is the old standby of zuchinni bread or muffins. Enjoy

Jan, I have some great WLS-friendly zucchini bread and muffin recipes (low-fat, made with Splenda and added protein) ... really good! I've brought them into work and fed them to coworkers without telling them what's in them and they've loved them. I've posted the recipes here before, if you remember them.
Looks like rain. Which means instead of riding my bike, I'll be going to the gym. Don't get me wrong, I like going to the gym, it's just I like being outside much better. My kitty needs her claws clipped and filed, so today I'll call and get her an appointment. She gets better nail care than I. Karen have fun on your trip and I hope you two Karens have a nice time.

Good morning to you, Karen and all my OFF siblings. I am so glad to be home again...who ever said that you can't go home again was not right on this home. ha ha
I am getting my home health nurse this morning. I don't like that idea of having to have one but it is what it is and I just have to accept the things that I can't change. It is what it is and that is that. I got up this morning to blood on my nightshirt and on the sheet too. I automatically thought that it was from my stomach but no........it is from the incision from the tummy tuck. The darn thing broke open somehow and so it is another thing for me to deal with. I am going to call the doctor's office this morning. I must admit that there is times that I think that I wish that I had never had this darn thing. Then I do look at my flat tummy and I like being able to look down when I am standing up and seeing my feet. That is kind of nice. I guess it is true what I have always said......those things that do not kill me makes me stronger. I am going to able to take the title of the world's strongest woman soon.....
I am watching Good Morning America and they had a story about a 9 year old girl who has breast cancer. She lost her hair from the treatment and it showed all her family and friends got a buzz cut for support. I think it so tragic that things like this happen let alone to a child like her. Her outlook is so strong and good we could all take a lesson from that. It all started out as a itch on her side and she told her mom about it and it just went from there.
It is going to be in the mid 60's today. It has been chilly but at least it isn't below zero so that is something to be grateful for. It is cloudy today so there is no sun but then again later on it might come out. That has been known to happen. I still like this weather so much more than what it could be....so if you can't be grateful for what you have be grateful for what you don't have.
I guess I should get going. I want to get my shower before the nurse comes. I am sending love and hugs to you all and know that prayers are being said for your health and happiness. Don't forget to smile and make someones else's day a good one too.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
