Thank you, thank you for all your support!!!  I am so glad to be part of a group to go to for help.  I have made it through the first day on clear liquids and survived.  One day at a time.  Marilyn

hi marilyn! welcome a-board
i too say take only the minimum of what you need- i had to take my CPAP but was not to use it there-and i wore their gowns- why dirty mine?!

you won't be able to lift grands for a bit after surgery ...but it gets better quickly!!! running with them is the best for me!!!!!

i developed a lactose intolerance immediately after surgery and had to use lactaid pills (any drug store/walmart)  to get milk and puddings down...not a problem now tho at 5 years out

the first few weeks will seem strange- you will learn to drink all over again--and sip!!! oh gosh sip!!!!!! you'll carry water everywhere!!!! and walking as much as you can tolerate!

we're here so ask away!

i was quite calm and ready and believed it was to be...you'll love your spot on the OFF loser's bench! get involved in our "what's new" thread and linda s's "what we're eating"--those are both daily...

breathe!!!!hugs and prayers.....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

As far as what to bring to the hospital, I cheated.  My wife had the surgery 18 months before me.  So, all I brought to the hospital was my wife.  She had everything else for me.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
