I have the same kind of bike Jeanne and it KILLS my thighs, but I know they are the fattest part of me so the need the stress! I like your idea of having the phone but turning it off.

Yeah it kills my thighs too.  I swear it feels like I have hot coals sitting on the top of my legs.  After riding, my ass kills me. LOL.  I dread riding until I get out there and I love it.  Just love the hell out of it.

I know, I just love, love, love the feeling of freedom- the wind in my hair and face. I think it takes me back to childhood to tell you the truth. I'm dying to go out and ride right now, but I'm waiting for two damn phone calls.

Riding reminds me of when I was a kid, so when I ride, I go up on the sidewalks and down and it just feels like when I was a kid.  I love it.  But, I don't love the sore muscles. LOL

julia..when i rode last fall a few times i felt that same way-like a child...very fond memories of bike riding!!!! it was one thing i could do-i'm a clutz!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I am going to be very polite here.  I am not sure I would have reacted the same way as you, had it been my wife calling me.  We have been married 35 years, and part of that is because there are not calls such as those.  We both do a lot for each other, but we can fend for ourself.  If the shirt I want to wear is not clean, I run and do a load.  If I get up and my breakfast is not made, I make it myself.

It's not that you have no life, they just rely on you too much.  You need to take control.

Hope I do not offend you with this post, that is not the intention.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George that is my hubby's only fault, and it's really my fault.  When we were first married, I didn't work or go to school or anything, so I spoiled him rotten.  Now, he cannot fend for himself.  But, you are right, he needs to get some self care skills.  Now, he does do a lot for me.  But, he cannot do a lot for himself.  He will do the dishes, if I am sick, but it takes him forever to get organized.  He will do the laundry but he will not fold them and that aggrevates me.  When I throw up, not that I do that all the time, but he will hold me up and carry me off to bed and wipe my face with a cool wet rag.  He has many good qualities, but he is spoiled.  He will make me soup.  Like potato soup.

And George, you are such a gentleman that you could never offend me.

Thanks for the last comment.  I guess it is because my momma brought me up that way.  One of her good traits.

As far as spoiling, my wife does that for me now.  Before I had to fend for myself.  I rather enjoy being pampered.  LOL

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I know some good trails around Magazine.  Next time you come down this way call me and I'll show you some pretty country. You can bring your husband if he rides.
