"Tis Friday!!!! What's new with you??????
Wow am I ever ready to join you in finding the skinny people willing to give up their brains. I am not really sure that they are going to be lining up to do this though. We will have to so some thinking on how to do this so it is profitable to all of us. I personally think that it will take off extremely well once people find out what we are planning on doing. ha ha I want a really skinny one though!

Yes, it's OK to take Metamucil or any fiber supplement. I take two FiberCons a day, because I have IBS and diverticulosis (I think that's the right term ... I get them mixed up ... I have the diverticula but they're not inflamed). Anyway, I need to have fiber in my diet. Right after surgery, I had to take Benefiber because I could add it to water or coffee. Now, I take the FiberCon again, plus a stool softener because without it, I am extremely constipated. That's because of the iron and vicodin.
A brain transplant? Oh sure, I'd love one! I have so many issues I need to switch brains. But I'm sure it would cost too much!

Yesterday, I rode the bike and cleaned the house and last night, my daughter brought the grands up. So, today we are playing outside and this evening, we are headed up to Kansas to see my son. I have to say, my life from today until Sunday will be busy, busy, busy. Mathew just popped into my office to say peekaboo. He is so cute. Baby Girl is still asleep. They are treasures. They want to go to the park but I don't know if I am up to chasing the baby. If hubby can watch them for me this morning, I am going to try and get a few miles in on the old bike.

Good morning to you, George and my OFF siblings. I hope that this Friday is a great one for all of us. Just think.......tomorrow is Saturday.....hooray!
George, it sounds like you are well rested after your vacation. I am so glad that you enjoyed yourself and had some good quality time with Mary. You both deserve it without a doubt. Bill goes on vacation after work tonight. He has been counting the days for a couple of weeks now. Nothing great happening here on vacation. It makes it hard with all the problems that I am having right now but at least he is going to catch up on his fishing time. He would fish 24/7 if he had the chance. He loves it. I sometimes go with him and sit and read a book while he fishes. At times I will do some too but then when it comes time for the bait or the fish I leave it up to him. ha ha We both catch and release so that is easy enough.
Today is Bill's 53rd birthday (yes....he likes older women...I am 2 years older) and so I am planning on taking him to lunch. That is if the visiting nurse comes and goes in time. She is suppose to be here between 10:30 and 12:30....so if she comes early and doesn't stay long it will be good for us. I am not sure just where he wants to go. In fact I haven't even mentioned it to him today. I will have to do that....and then let him know when the nurse is coming. He wasn't home last night when she called.
Our nephews girlfriend is coming over to watch the nurse change the packing and dressings. This way then she is going to be able to do it when the nurse isn't coming. I hope that is most of the time. ha ha Not that I don't like her or don't appreciate her but it nicer just not having someone here. I am not saying just what I mean so I am hoping that everyone understands what I am working on saying here. She is nice but it just seems strange to me having a visiting nurse come to the house for me.....it was alright when we had one come for Mom but that is different....at least for me! Heidi called the other day and said that she would more than happy to come to the house everyday to change the packing and bandages. I thought that was super nice of her.
I have sauerkraut and sausage in the crock pot this morning. Bill and I mentioned it in the grocery store a couple of weeks ago and so I thought that I would fix it today. It sure smells good and I have been wanting some for a long time...and today is the day! I have a lot of problems with eating lately....I get so sick to my stomach that I just don't want to eat. I made up my mind that since I have to eat something I am eating something that I like.....and a bit of the sauerkraut and sausage isn't going to kill me, that is for sure. After my little bit my craving for that is going to be gone. I hate when those darn cravings for something comes.
I better get going. I have a couple of things to do before the nurse comes. And I want to get a shower before she comes too. She had a fit the other day when I took a shower and told me to ask the doctor and not the do what the nurse says is alright. Well yesterday when I went to the doctor I saw the PA and she said yes I can shower but to make sure that it is close to when the nurse is going to be there. She didn't want the tap water to sit in the wound. So I am looking forward to a shower.....they are so taken for granted! I have had to wash up for so long a shower is like a pot of gold to me!
I am sending love and hugs to all. I am asking that you all keep Linda Spellman in your prayers and/or good thoughts. She pm'd me this morning to start the thread....she thinks she had a stroke. This will be a busy weekend for me. Today I'm driving to my friend's house about 2 hours away. Then we go from her house about 45 minutes to set up for the dog show this weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be showing the dogs. Monday will be going to my first Support Group meeting. It will be busy, but fun.
I really need to get my nose out of the books I love to read and get moving. I like to walk, but if I sit down and start reading it's all over. I'll be moving alot this weekend tho. It'll be hard to make good food choices this weekend, but I'll certainly try.
