"Tis Friday!!!! What's new with you??????
Hi George and my OFF family:
Good to see you back and rested from your vacation. I need one of those. All the vacations I'm taking this year are at Casa de Briesch in lovely Hudsonville ... well, next week I'm going to Chicago. Was going to go to the OH Conference (Carla had me volunteering, so I got in free). But then she told me it was $22 to park for the day, so I'm not going to the conference anymore. I can't waste $44 on parking my car. The OH people should tell folks that it's going to cost that much for parking. What a ripoff! I had free lodging at my mom's (she lives about 5 miles away) and yes, it would cost to drive to Chicago, but still I wanted to see my mom and my family. But the parking cost, well, that's outrageous. That's more than at most ballparks.
Then I stressed out about the price of gas. It's up to $2.96 here. I thought about not going to Chicago at all. It'll cost me $60 round trip now (two fill-ups). I already have the long weekend off (Friday and Saturday as vacation days, then Sunday and Monday as my regular days off). But then I thought, ya know, I really want to go. I know the expense isn't in my budget and I shouldn't waste that money on gas, but I really want to see my mom. It's her birthday today (she's 85 ... so wish her a happy birthday ... I had to think about that, but the year I had my surgery, five years ago, we celebrated her 80th). I won't get home this weekend, so I'll go next weekend.
I guess there's some choices I have to make, and sometimes it's going to be hard, but I have to do them. I've already decided that after I'm out of bankruptcy, I'm going to fix this condo up and sell it. Hopefully, in six months, the market will have improved so I'll get some money out of it. It was good idea when I bought, but it's just getting to be a big burden to me. And with the pay reduction, spending $1,100+ on mortgage and condo fees (combined) is too much for me. I'd live cheaper in a rental. I just need to find someplace that is ground level.
Not much else going on around here. Work again tonight, of course. We have the big Festival of the Arts going on downtown all weekend. And it's actually not raining, which is a first, I believe. The first couple years I was here for Festival, the weather was nice, but every other year, it's been crappy. I still think it's going to rain sometime this weekend. I have a little headache going on.
At least I don't have to work in sports tomorrow ... because of Festival, I'm doing the Region section. I'll be busy, but that's good.

Again, welcome home.. healing prayers to Linda, I sure hope it turns out to be a false alarm, she has come so far.
Tonight I will be serving at a spagetti dinner and tomorrow evening I will go to a candle party that my daughter put on. I was to come into work a hour later today so I slept in some and had the most horrible horrible dream about my daughter Liz dying in my arms. I just can't shake the feelings of it. Boss was suppose tobe back to work today but she got home from her training and found a broken fridge so she is not coming into day.. Happy dance Happy dance, happy happy dance.
Other than the two plans I am going to try and keep a low profile this weekend as next weekend will be very very busy.
I am pouting as I read about all the bike riding next week wil be one year since my wonderful pink bike was stollen after I got to ride it twice. I really would like to get another, but it is hard for me to ride with my twisted legs, my ankles and knees bang into the bike all the time. I better get some work done. Byeee

Today I went back to the doc in Denver. I still have a residual lung infection and a infection in my bug toe from a blister from shoes. So I am now on antibiotics again. I also ahd to have my neck cracked. I pulled out the wheel chair from the trunk of my friends car and strained my neck. So this afternoon I am going ro a massage.
I wanted to go to the doc to see if I had pneumonia. I dont so I will leave on sunday for Chicago.
I am baking a plumb cake this afternoon and going to church with my friend for a dinner.

Hi George and everyone! What fun to read about what everone is doing. I know for sure what I will be doing.....bowel clean out tomorrow, antibiotics and two antibacterial showers on Sunday, then one more antibacterial shower and RNY on Monday. I can't wait. Marilyn

I spent yesterday visiting my brother in the hospital. I watched my grandsons last night and the little guy was up at 7. I'm a second shifter and never get to bed until after 2. I took a little nap before leaving for the dentist. I have them again tonight.
So for the weekend I will be catching up all I have let go watching them this week. I will also have to get packed to head out to AZ for a few days.
BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
