Karen C is on Maui!!
Aloha OFF family.....Well, Karen and her friend, Colleen, arrived yesterday.... actually early. I was following her flight on the computer and went out on my lanai and saw her big plane make a slow turn toward Kahului airport. That was fun knowing that a friend was onboard. I headed across the island and only had a short wait in K-Mart parking lot when Karen called me on my cell phone saying they were curbside. Easy pickup!
The day was beautiful. The wind had finally come back and blew away most of of the VOG and the drive to Lahaina was gorgeous. The road goes right along the ocean so you get to see lots of surfers, kayakers, swimmers, etc. Wish the whales were still here because often you see them breaching just offshore on that drive.
We stopped at Safeway in Lahaina so they could get some supplies, and then I dropped them at their hotel which is beautiful and very close to lots of cool stuff. They are as easy walk on the beach to Black Rock which is where a man dives off the cliff every evening at sunset as a conch shell is blown. I'm sure they will have a very relaxing and enjoyable time right at their beach front hotel.
Sunday I'm going to go be with them...and we'll do the beach, or the pool.....whatever is their pleasure. Karen looked wonderful, and her friend, Colleen is a very lovely woman and I found out they've known each other FOREVER!! Wonderful to have friends like that.

Good Evening Maui Karen. It's so exciting to know Karen and Colleen are visiting you in sunshiny beautiful warm Maui. You can tell them that we have forecasts of rain and SNOW for tonight and tomorrow here in NW North Dakota!! Yikes!! And here it is June. Weird weather I tell you.
