9 Yrs. Post Op in Sept 09 Saying HELLO
I don't feel over 50 or act like it either for that matter.

I like to get to know more people on this forum and make new friends. Are there any long term post-ops on here? I'd love to hear from you too.
I just updated my profile and added pictures of my fabulous journey. Hope you'll take a look and get to know me better.
Big hugs,
Kat

We all struggle with those old habits. But each tiny step you make toward to a new habit "becomes" habit. I have millions of baby steps getting to 9 years. I would suggest you to try to figure out the reasons why you are wanting that trigger food. Work on the reason, emotionally.....the habits we grew up with CAN be changed but not overnight. Don't punish yourself for being human but recognize what you did and why you did it and take steps to change that.

I was very lucky and had my PS (panniculectomy) just before Kaiser stopped covering it here in Hawaii. My experience was excellent, and I had no complications with either the RNY or the PS, except the occasional upset tummy over something I ate too fast or too much. I started at 319 and have been maintaining 155 to 160 for about a year now. Some say I'm too thin (I'm 5'10.5")......but I'd rather be that than too fat!!
Please keep coming back and sharing your experience with us. I KNOW you are helping many....and hopefully you will receive help in return.

I also had Brachioplasty, Mastopexy, and Mammoplasty Aug 2002. I love the results of all my PS and my incisions lines are like tiny, tiny pencil thin lines. Some people can't even see them and have to have me point to where they are.
You look gorgeous. Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much for posting and sharing with us. That is what so wonderful about our journeys....we learn from each other. I love that part. I am always open to learn something new.
I had my rny in October of '07 and have lost 126 pounds. I am down to goal but would like to lose some more weight. I had PS April 27th and that was a tummy tuck when I had my hernia taken care of. I had some problems and am still being treated but I am on the road to recovery and that is the main thing.
Thanks so much for sharing and I hope to see more of you on here.
hugs,
Kat

Those are some awesome accomplishments. It's so good to hear from folks that far out and know that it is still the best thing you ever did. I hope to see you around here, and learn from you, as I do the others.
Sounds to me like life is pretty good, and yipes are we really over 50?
Blessings to you..
Walking with you on this journey, Mary
