What are you eating and what's eating you?

Good morning everyone. How was your week end? I hope that it was just as great as all of you are.......and if it was then it was just about perfect! I am so blessed to have family like I have here. I find unconditional love and people who truly care for others. This common bond that we share is so wonderful. It not only gives us our lives back it gives us people that we might never meet and gives the ability to share and have others that we can consider family. It is truly a miraculous. Just some things to ponder for the day I guess.

Food here is still pretty much just that. I really thought that it was getting better but I guess it isn't. I think the desire is there now but that is it. I still get sick to my stomach when I do eat. I am really hoping that it ends soon. I look and find food that is high in protein so that my intake on that is higher than it was. I might not do a perfect job but at least I working at it. That is all I can do at this point. I think I should go to protein drinks but I just can't stand the thought of that. I use to drink Slim Fast low carb for 20 grams of protein and now I can't stand that at all either, even with adding an equal amount of milk to it to thin it down. I just don't know what I am going to about this dilemma so if someone has a possible answer I sure would appreciate it.

B: sf oatmeal with a peach
L: Smart Ones entree
D: ?
S: nothing

I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers being said for you all. Please don't forget Linda in your prayers/good thoughts........she so needs them. Don't forget to spread some happiness where you go...spreading happiness is kind of like planting beautiful flower seeds.

Brenda,

Thanks for doing this and for keeping us updated about Linda.

What is it about the protein drinks that bothers you? Are you just bored with them, or do they nauseate you?  If they're too sweet, you could try Unjury chicken soup flavor protein powder.  I love sweet stuff but when I was on the liquid diet, the Unjury chicken soup was a great change of pace.

B: coffee protein shake
S1: iced skinny latte
S2: scrambled eggbeaters
L: tofu w/ peanut sauce, Asian cucumber salad
S: cheese
D: chicken, sweet potato pancakes, roasted zucchini
S: strawberries w/ sour cream & brown sugar

Brenda, I am thinking the strong antibiotic you are on is making your stomach upset......try some low sugar/high protein yogurt, I'll bet it
will help.    Have a good day, my friend!

Brenda,
How is Linda?  Did she actually have a stroke?  My goodness, she is in my thoughts and I truly hope she gets better.

Joy, Linda went to the ER and they said that there wasn't a stroke or a heart attack. They told her that it was neurological. She has an appointment with her neurologist in July but she is calling today to see if there is something sooner that she can get. Please keep her in your prayers/good thoughts since this thing is very serious and she is so very scared. With good reason too.

Brenda,
I sure understand what she is going through.  Tell her she is in my thoughts and prayer also, to hang in there.  The Lord is beside her.

Today we are eating fish.  Son and his partner caught a ton of fish and we are having a fish fry.  Daughter will be here too.  I will eat a cat fish fillet and some potato salad and maybe a hush puppy.  Until the fish fry I am going to eat ham and cheese sandwich.  That's it.

My weekend was totally unplanned so I ate things I wouldn't have....pizza, tacos, chicken strips salad. Good news is I ate small amounts of them and didn't pig out so I refuse to feel guilty. I got a taste of a few things I've been craving, the craving is gone so now I get get back to business! I WILL go to the grocery store tomorrow so we can both get back on plan. I weigh in tomorrow and I'll be pleased if I just didn't gain!

Dee, just remember that what is done is done and there is no reason for beating yourself up for it. Just learn from it. Since this mostly happened because of the fact that you didn't plan just make sure that you plan a bit better, if you can. Sometimes it is hard to plan and that is alright too. We have to live our life like normal people and they have the same problems too. OMG...does this mean we are getting to be "normal"? Whatever normal is......ha ha

Remember guilt belongs in the waste basket. Put it there and leave it for the garbage man to pick up. Let him deal with it......

You will be fine, my friend....sending love and hugs to you because you are fine just the way you are...don't forget that!
