Good Monday Morning all! What's new with you?
Aloha and good morning OFF friends......
It's 6:00 a.m. right now and soon I will be taking a friend to have plastic surgery on her face. She is a PS nurse, and was the one who helped me when I had tummy surgery six months ago. She lives in my building, and I'm so happy to return the favor.
George, it's nice to see you again.
Yesterday I FINALLY got to see Karen C and her friend, Colleen down at their hotel in Kaanapali. I still wasn't feeling top notch.....tummy queasy, but decided to go anyway. Their hotel room is very cozy and comfortable....with a view of the whale shaped pool, and the ocean between the palm trees. We visited awhile in their room, and then headed down to the pool for some sun and a dip in the nice cool water.
Karen gave me some wonderful gifts....like a tee-shirt from Janet's Texas get together that says "It's a Friend Thing." I LOVE IT!! Then, there was another shirt from Karen with the state of Washington in brown tones which I love, too. She is so thoughtful with her gifts, and I loved all of them! I didn't stay for lunch because of "iffy" tummy, and took off for home around noonish. I'm so glad I had a few hours with them though.....such warm and friendly people. I will call them tonight and see how their day went, and then tomorrow they will be on their way home.
Almost time for me to take my friend to outpatient surgery. So, here's hoping you all have a good Monday....and I"ll be back later to see what kind of mischief you have all been into!

Sorry I havent been on since thursday. I am feeling better and going to leave Denver on Wednesday driving to chicago. Ill get there sometime on Thursday. Today I am unpacking the car and repacking it.
I think I am going to ship a box of stuff home today also.
Carl wont like that!!!!!! He is flying to chicago on the 29th so Ill have to drive from Nans house to go and get him Well leave on the 30th to Nans again.
We are going to spend a week in Michigan then go to chicago and spend another week and maybe take 3 days to get back to Florida. I want to go to New Orleans on the way home. Im going to try to talk him into going.
Our 30th anniversary is Augest 12th and I want to go to Savannah Georgia for a few days. so we will see after I go tot he Dr appointments I have. I have to have a thyroid scan to see if I have any residual cancer cells lingering or beginning again. I dont think so but I have to have the scans every 6 months now.
Well off to clean the car.

Aloha Carla.....You are such a mystery to me......You travel and travel and you are dealing with very important physical challenges. I am so curious about all of that. I do not want to be an unwanted curiosity seeker...but I am a psychologist and I hope that you are OK..

Yep Carla- that's the drill for me too...see the oncologist and have tests every six months. I'm glad they do that, but it can be tedious getting it done.
I'm off to Antioch, the home of my birth, to see my brother and sister-in-law. I'm taking lots of old pictures for him to scan. On the way home I'll do a little shopping.
