What's happening Tuesday
Really??? Twice in one week??? Wow, you guys must be sleepy today!
Old dog got me up at 4:30 and I've been waiting for someone to start the thread, no go....so here we go.
Eileen, I got one of those braces for my elbow and I think it's helping already. Not back to normal by any stretch of the imagination, but I can see a difference.
Our poor Connie!!! What a terrible thing to happen to such a sweet person. Let's send her a shower of get well cards.....what do you say???
My week at work is very slow. I don't have a client until 5:30 this evening, so I'm not sure now how I'll spend my day. I kind of vegged out all day yesterday and can't do too much of that and feel productive, so maybe I'll get some things done around the house.

I had a good night. Had a two hour training class during the night on conflict resolution. That is my job. Geez. Instead of going to my nap (lunch) at 1:30AM, I went at 2:45 AM. Made the rest of the night go by lots quicker.
Looking forward to some of the new shows on TV this week. DVRing them. The Closer returned last night, as did Raising the Bar. I do enjoy Here Come the Newlyweds. Some humor in there. Also, the new USA show Royal Pain. Of course I watch In Plain Sight and Burn Notice.
Gotta start closing down my programs on my computer, almost time to go home. Be back tonight.

Don't you love a day to yourself?? It's one of the reasons I work on Saturday. Gary gets the chance to do his "guy" things, then on Monday I can do my "girl" things. Sunday we have together and don't feel guilty having the other one doing something they might not care to do. It's a great system, and sometimes I don't look forward to three day weekends because I lose "my" day. I'm bad!!!!

Good morning to you Susan, and I am so glad to see your bright shinning face again this morning. I am glad that you got the brace and that your elbow is feeling a bit better. I guess I must be somewhat selfish...this way since you are feeling better you can spend more time with us. I was really going to miss you when you said that you might not be here as often.
This is terrible news about our dear Connie. I am sure up for the card shower for her too. She sure needs it. She is such a trooper...with everything she has going on in her life now and she is still there bringing us the joy that is just her. I sure pray that everything will be good for her and the time she is needing to heal is short.
George, I am happy to see that some of our favorite shows on A&E are starting new now. I like that since there is nothing but repeats on television now. I hate repeats. The First 48 Hours are starting and so is Dog The Bounty Hunter. The last one is more Bill's show but sometimes I do enjoy it. We do really like The Closer too so that is good too. I have been meaning to watch that Newlyweds show too but I keep forgetting about it. I will really try to get to it this week.
It is so dark and cloudy here this morning. I sure think that it is going to rain but according to the weather lady it isn't. But it is only going to get to the high of 69 today. Bill is suppose to go fishing tomorrow and it she just said that tomorrow is going to rain. So I am not sure how he is going to take that news. Him and his beloved fishing. But back to the weather. I knew that it is going to rain...I woke up with such a sinus headache. I have a feeling that regardless of what the weather lady said it is going to rain.
Bill and I are going to Wally World today to get his late birthday present...yes you got it....a new rod and reel. And of course some more sinkers and a Light Bobby too. That is a bobber that lights up and rattles. I guess that is so if you fall asleep it wakes you up when a fish bites. Or if it was me fishing when a fish didn't bite! He wants some rod called an Ugly Stick with the matching reel. Of course he wasn't sure if that is what he really wanted because the reel is closed and he likes the open kind the best but he thinks that he is going to like this one. What is the difference between an open or closed one? They both do the same thing if you ask me, but no one asked me anyway.
We have to get a tank of gas for the grill. My not so lean and not so mean grilling machine went out to start the grill last night and the tank was empty. He wants to get one those tank things from Lowe's that tells you how much gas is in the tank. But there seems to be so much more that $20 some dollars can buy than that, at least to me there is.
The nurse is coming this morning and so is my sister. Heidi never showed up yesterday or never called. It isn't like I asked her to come and learn how to take care of the wound so I am not sure what her problem is but my sister said that she would come and do it for me. So today is day that she learns and Erica the nurse will probably have her do it tomorrow. Carolyn was a CNA for something like 30 years and she did treatments like this and passed medication too so she is going to be a fast learner I am sure. I think I trust her more than I did Heidi anyway. I am so afraid of infection....I sure don't need that again. I have had enough and I am waiting for this whole nightmare to be over sometime soon. The nurse said that should take a couple of months for it to be near healed. I am waiting....and not so patiently at times, most times really, for that time to come.
I got a call from Linda S. last night and she said that she got a appointment to see the neurologist for tomorrow at 1:00. So that is a good thing. She did say that her right hand just tremors something terrible. There is no way that she can get on the computer. So prayers and good thoughts for her need to go on too.
I better go...I have went on long enough. I hope that your Tuesday is good and know that I am sending love and hugs and prayers to all. Don't forget to spread the happiness in your heart. The more you spread your happiness the more that comes in it's place.

ladies over 50 need to have regular bone density scans. It's
very important to keep our bones strong after we have had
WLS. Our local hospital recently had a clinic and for $15
you could get the scan -- so contact your PCP and get one
scheduled......and please, please remember to take your
Calcium Citrate EVERYDAY. Mine came back within normal
limits - for a 70 yr old lady - that's pretty terrific!!

gals who can't be with us for a while, or at least keep them

You are so right about getting your bone density scan done. I had mine recently too, it came back in the negative this time. I try to pour all of the calcium and vitamin D in I can through food. Unfortunately, I cannot take it through pill form. I have severe digestive issues with both and GHP is working with me to boost it through other means. I would dearly love to take it in pill form, because it so much easier, I have spent so much money on calcium and vitamin D that don't work for me.

Hi Phyllis - good to see you too. I'm sorry you are having issues
with getting your calcium.....that's really strange. Can you drink
milk?? I'm interested in what GHP is doing for you -- it will
be good info to have for my support group.
I won't see you guys in July as I am having a revision on my
hip replacement (it's 19 yrs old and needs a new socket) and
the surgery is on July 1st at Borgess in K'zoo. Hopefully I
won't be laid up too long - however, I do have to take my
vacation then, the doc thinks I will be able to go back to work
in two weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Meantime, glad you are doing well....say hello to Jon for me.
