OK. I am up because I am working. If you are up this fine Wednesday morning, What's...
Aloha OFF family! George...you really MUST take it easy..........life is too short to work so hard!!
Well, my dear Karen C is back on the mainland (I hope).........and her visit went by so quickly I still can't believe it. I'm so glad I was able to see her a couple of times, and wish I'd felt better so it could have been even more.
Monday was my day of taking a friend to her surgeon for facial plastic surgery. We went at 6:30 a.m. and she was under the knife for 5.5 hours! I picked her up around 5:00 p.m. and she was so out of it I had to hold her up to get her to her condo which is upstairs from mine. I got her settled in and then went up and checked on her a couple hours later. Her whole head was bandaged and her eyes were black and blue with visible stitches. She slept in her recliner. I called her the next morning and wanted to take her back to her surgeon at 10:00 for recheck but I had babies to do at the hospital, and she sounded good to drive herself which is what she did.
I came home after doing babies because I still was not feeling well and couldn't go to the office for the rest of the day. My friend was just getting back from the surgeon's office and was all rebandaged and looked SO MUCH BETTER. THEN....another dear friend called and had hurt herself badly on the beach and needed me to help get her down to her truck to go to emergency. I carried all her stuff and she insisted on driving herself, but I'd have liked to take her. Her boyfriend was meeting her there. Later she called and was doing fine.....nothing broken, just big time sprain. We are a bruised, battered and sickly bunch right now!! It's so wonderful to have each other to help out though....and I became very aware of that yesterday.
This morning I AM going to IMUA to work.........and hopefully will be able to stay the whole day. Still feeling queasy, but not going to let that get me down!! NOT NOT NOT!!
Friendship is such a gift....and I do NOT take it for granted. All of you fall in that category and I am thankful to share my life with you and have you do the same. I'm tuning up my magic wand ........ it has been on the fritz lately....but maybe it will work today!! In the meantime...here come hugs for all of you!
Aloha nui loa,

Hi George and my OFF friends,
I seem to never be happy . . . if work is light, the day drags on. If work is heavy, I'm exhausted and stressed. Glad things weren't too stressful for you at work. he-he.
I had a wonderful weekend with my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. They were only in town for 24 hours to attend the 95th anniversary banquet for our boy scout troop. My grandsons (6 and 4) like to walk in the house and sneak up on Grandma and Grandpa when they arrive. They don't realize that because Daddy drives a king cab truck up the driveway we hear them coming. We keep up the pretense that we didn't know that they were here though. Sadie, our youngest grand was born out of state. She is almost two and has seen us maybe six times since her birth. We'll she came running in right after the boys and jumped into my arms and gave me a big hug. She frequently came to me to be held and cuddled throughout the weekend. Including a tickle and cuddle session in our bed on Sunday morning. I was in heaven.
My thoughts are with Linda, Connie D. and Susan. Judy, I hope you get the loan.
Hugs,
Bev
