Hi Natalie,
You bet I'm one excited patient.  I've got a cupboard ful of protein samples and hopefully there will be something in there that goes down easily post-op.  I've tried Costco's protein shots, like them, 25 gm. of protein, 100 calories.  I guess some don't think the quality of protein is very good in the shots?  But, I like the taste and it goes down pretty easy.  Hoping to use it during the clear portion following surgery.  You'll be around to help, I'm sure of it, as I've seen you in action on the boards.  You are great!!  Thanks so much for taking time to post, and it is encouraging.  And thank you for acknowledging the weight loss.  blessings to you.

Congrats, Mary! Never had a thalium test. The only stress test I had was one that they gave me a drug to stress my heart instead of making me walk the treadmill because of my bad knees. Boy, that drug made my mouth dry! Went from there to Red Lobster and drank about a pitcher of water (as well as had a really good lunch). But ya do what ya gotta do. Peanuts are a good snack, though ... high in protein. I have them often ... just a dixie cup worth, though.

Keep up the good work ... July 2 will come soon.

Thanks so much Eileen.  Yep, the peanuts were the bonus in this afternoon's entertainment.  I went from the last test to Mimi's where I had a delicious dinner, and many, many cups of coffee.  Had to be caffeine free for 24 hours prior to the test.  It was a piece of cake test except for the coffee, lol.  Again, many thanks for acknowledging this great day.  I do appreciate it and am encouraged by it.  Blessings to you.

Thank you for your kind words.  I do appreciate your post more than you can imagine.  The day will be here before I know it.  Last night I started thinking about all the stuff I need to do before surgery.  That opened my eyes right up.  I'll be very, very busy before surgery, and the time will fly.  Blessings to you!

If I were you I'd make a list of the things I hope to get done before the surgery and then just do a few things each day.  Don't get too overwhelmed.  It will be fine.

Sweet sixteen!!  Oh my goodness, what a day for your granddaughter.  I think a luau is a awesome idea for a party.  What fun for her.  She will always remember it.  I remember my sixteenth birthday because I was allowed to invited my friends for a private dinner party, and my mom cooked mexican food.  My grandmother made a sombero cake.  Never have forgotten it.  I hope her day is filled with the most special memories.  I will be sipping away, when I'm not walking, lol  Thank you for sharing my great joy.  Blessings to you.
