What are we eating & What's eating us-Thursday

Good morning everyone....it is Thursday already...how time flies.

I keep thinking of HALT this morning. I think that I need to practice that today. I find that when I think of something so much it is something that I need to put in my life that day. So for today I will not become to

H - hungry
A - Angry
L - Lonely
T - Tired

I find that the A and the T are the ones that I have the most problems with. At least that was the problem yesterday. I didn't see it then but then again most of the time it takes me a while to see things clearly. How about you...are you practicing HALT to the best of your ability?

Yesterday was not a good day with food. We are going out for dinner for our 21st anniversary tonight...I think I am going to stick with seafood. I seem to have no problem with that....at least so far. I am not going to bet on anything for now...I am tired of losing my shirt on the things I bet on! ha ha

Yesterday was:

B: peach
L: chicken (not good either)
D: nothing since the chicken did me in

I did have 2 cups of milk yesterday....so that helps the protein. At least the chicken stayed down so that is protein too.

Have a great day and practice HALT for today..just one day at a time...or a hour at a time if need be. We can do anything for an hour.

Sending love and hugs and prayers to all..........

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good morning, Brenda,

Yes, it is important to remember HALT and also that there is very little we can control ourselves.  But with God's help, the help of this board and other tools I can control my compulsive overeating.

B.  cottage cheese, peach, 1 slice 40 cal bread, low cal butter/jelly
S. yogurt
L salad and protein (someone is taking me to lunch)
S. 2 cheese sticks and 2 carrots
D. pork chop, lima beans, mashed potatoes
S. popcorn

My food has been a problem for several days and I need to turn it over and keep in touch with all of you.  Need to get in more water!!!!

Morning y'all,
I appreciate the HALT pep talk today.  The bakery guy delivered a bunch of day old pastries yesterday and I had my share.  Today I have good things to eat but I'm going to a golf tournament banquet later.  Think I'll stick to the seafood also because I can never get enough of that.  Another busy day at work.  Best wishes to everyone, especially Connie and Linda, CV Linda

B coffee, protein bar
s orange
L string cheese, apple
s bell pepper strips and ranch dressing
d seafood-hope there is crab

Brenda,

Please pass along my good wishes and prayers for Linda as I just learned she is having difficulties again.

Thanks, Laureen

Brenda,

I'm a great believer in the HALT rule.  Hungry and Tired are the ones that usually get me.

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: black bean cake, eggplant salad
S: cheese
D: salmon w/ strawberry vinaigrette, broccoli/cauliflower/bacon salad
S: fresh papaya

Morning

Havent been here for awhile but I am back.

B- weight control oatmeal / with powdered milk added for more protein

L- Wood grilled skewered shrimp,  broccoli,&  mashed potatoes  (Red Lobster take out.)  I will see how that goes with the old prissy pouch today.

S- string cheese

D-  dont know yet. See how lunch goes.

Trying my best to get in more water.

Yesterday was not good for me either.  Couldn't keep lunch down and dinner was the same.

I did eat sf ice pops, and finally 1/2 c ricotta.   I got in protein chicken broth too. That stayed down.

Today is another day in this journey.  Hoping it goes better.
