What are we eating & What's eating us - Friday Edition

Good Friday morning to all my OFF family! Just think, the week end is right around the corner. It is within sight today.....

I am a bit unhappy that it is Friday already since Bill will be going back to work on Monday. It seems like his vacation went so fast...to fast in fact. I bet if you ask him he will agree.

Yesterday went pretty darn good if you ask me. I went for dinner and I didn't get sick to my stomach and so that is a success if you ask me. I think I have hit on the answer to the problem. Hooray!

This is what I had yesterday. Thank you, Annette for suggesting that I do it for the previous day since it was driving me more nuts than usual to do it for the same day. I appreciate the suggestions from everyone. If you all have more just let me know.

B:cherries
L: cherries (they were so good!)
D: cup of Rosa Marina soup and 4 oz. salmon steak, broiled
S: through the day I had some milk to help with calcium and protein

I think I did pretty good if you ask me. I  know that I got more protein yesterday than I have in a while....any improvement is good.

Have a great day....just for today. We can do anything for one day at a time. Sometimes it is just a hour at at time or a minute at a time. Whatever gets you through.

I send love and hugs to all along with prayers for everyone too. Have a great day and spread your happiness and sunshine through the day.

Good Morning Brenda....
Glad you had a nice dinner without getting ill.  You are so nice to do this for Linda while she is incapaciated.  Thank You.
We had a house guest last night and he left this morning. I made his favorite meal: Meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cucumbers/vadalia onions/tomatoes in a oil and vinegar sauce.  I ate a tiny bit of each and it tasted so good.  Comfort Food!!  I will be back to eating my usual today which is coffee and bowl of Special K cereal for bkfst, some chili and mandarin oranges for lunch and dinner tonight is undecided.  I hope your weekend is great and you spend it with your honey, Bill.

Hugs, Sandy

Sandy, that salad with the cucumbers and onions and tomatoes sound so good. I make the one with the cucumbers and onions in just a vinegar and water dressing with Splenda added in to take out some of the acidic tartness. My Mom use to make that dressing with cole slaw (oh dear that is good) and with cucumbers. She didn't add the onions. I am going to do the salad with the tomatoes the next time. OMG....good just doesn't describe it if you ask me!

So good to see you too. I miss everyone when I miss their posts during the day. Have a great one and yes, I am spending the day with my honey. My Mom always use to call Dad honey boy and that brings back such wonderful memories. Boy do I miss my parents so much. More the older I get it seems. Oh well.....

Hi Everyone, Special hugs for LindaS and Connie.
I didn't do very well with my food yesterday and have the runs today, a timely reminder of why it is better to stick to the plan.  Also ran off this morning without food so will need to go to the store at lunchtime.  I have protein bars, a packet of Unjury chicken soup, a packet of protein cheese crackers and an apple in my desk.  Oh and there is cut up bell pepper and LF ranch dressing in the fridge.  That should hold me for awhile.
The friend that I am going to Vegas with on Sunday arrives this evening.  He's cooking london broil and probably potatos for dinner.  I have frozen vegies to add.  So that's the plan for today.  Gotta get moving here at work so I can get it all done.  I'll be away next week but may have a chance to check in.  Yowza, CV Linda

Brenda,

A few weeks ago, we had a bumper crop of cherries from one of our trees.  I wish I could have sent you some, because we had more than we could deal with.  They are so good!  We now have frozen cherries, dried cherries, cherry preserves, etc. etc.

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: salmon w/ strawberry vinaigrette
S: watermelon
D: turkey sausage with kidney beans & salsa
S: papaya
