I came on,and wanted to read my messages of hope. My doctor says I will take meds, and did not say anything about the tremors were not repairable,or anything other than I may have to take extra vits and a B12 shot.
People who used my messages to talk about OH,etc,I did not need that right now,so THANKS.
Take your vits everyone, and the tremors are getting better.
God bless!

Aloha dear heart........I am SO GLAD to see you on here. Your symptoms were frightening and made me think about my own strange physical situation lately. I remember someone telling me that Vit. B-12 is so very important especially for those of us having RNY surgery. Here is something that I found that hit the mark for how I"m feeling:

Symptoms and damage from deficiency

Main article: Vitamin B12 deficiency
Vitamin B12 deficiency can potentially cause severe and irreversible damage, especially to the brain and nervous system. At levels only slightly lower than normal, a range of symptoms such as fatigue, depression, and poor memory may be experienced.[27] However, these symptoms by themselves are too nonspecific to diagnose deficiency of the vitamin.

Vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause symptoms of mania and psychosis.[28][29]

Vitamin B12 deficiency has the following pathomorphology and symptoms:[30]

Pathomorphology includes: A spongiform state of neural tissue along with edema of fibers and deficiency of tissue. The myelin decays, along with axial fiber. In later phases, fibric sclerosis of nervous tissues occurs. Those changes apply to dorsal parts of the spinal cord, and to pyramidal tracts in lateral cords. The pathophysiologic state of the spinal cord is called subacute combined degeneration of spinal cord.

In the brain itself, changes are less severe: they occur as small sources of nervous fibers decay and accumulation of astrocytes, usually subcortically located, an also round hemorrhages with a torus of glial cells. Pathological changes can be noticed as well in the posterior roots of the cord and, to lesser extent, in peripheral nerves.

Clinical symptoms : The main syndrome of vitamin B12 deficiency is Biermer's disease (pernicious anemia). It is characterized by a triad of symptoms:

Anemia with bone marrow promegaloblastosis (megaloblastic anemia)
Gastrointestinal symptoms
Neurological symptoms
Each of those symptoms can occur either alone or along with others. The neurological complex, defined as myelosis funicularis, consists of the following symptoms:

Impaired perception of deep touch, pressure and vibration, abolishment of sense of touch, very annoying and persistent paresthesias
Ataxia of dorsal cord type
Decrease or abolishment of deep muscle-tendon reflexes
Pathological reflexes - Babinski, Rossolimo and others, also severe paresis
During the course of disease, mental disorders can occur whi*****lude: irritability, focus/concentration problems, depressive state with suicidal tendencies, paraphrenia complex. These symptoms may not reverse after correction of hematological abnormalities, and the chance of complete reversal decreases with the length of time the neurological symptoms have been present.

I can only speak for myself....but I sure have felt the tiredness, the memory loss, the depression. I am TODAY upping my Vit. B-12 even though my nut. only suggested once a week, 1000 sublingual.

]Maybe this will help someone else....I hope so.

Aloha nui loa,

I'm sooooo glad you posted this information.  I had NO idea that a deficiency would do all this.  NOT even a clue.  I had put off my B-12 shots, it was inconvenient, never again......  I've been so miserable..... I sometimes wonder if I'm losing my mind... vitamins are so important and I've never  been one to take them; now I have to.....

THANKS  Karen and Darlene

I thank all of you. I am prpbably lucky that my signs presented early, and that my doctor states they are small seizures. He thinks in the end I may need extra vitimin C or B12 shots once a month.
I just get pissed when people such as Darlene and Margo use me as a soap box,I am hurt Karen, and I can not handle the crap.
I can say I am improving,and grateful.

Aloha dear one......I would NEVER intentionally offend you........never, never. Your struggles only gave me a clue as to what might be going on with me, and caused me to do some research that I think might help MY situation.

You WILL find your own answers........of that I have no doubt. But, thank you anyway for putting me on a path to possible relief of my current crumby aches and pains.

Aloha and the best of everything to you always!!

You helped me to remember!!!
I had this tremor 20 months ago!!
Maybe caused by the anti-seizure med for my face pain.
Now I have to count...maybe since wls...hmmm.
LOL,...you are my memory stone!
