Linda S and Karen S
Barb,I am scared, and I am sorry if I offended anyone.
I am going to try an experiment starting tomorrow, they both made me think.
I have tried to get my FRIEND Darlene to candy coat things but I guess she never will,I do love her though.
Karen has never said one word that offended me.
I think this is a scare and a wake up call for all.
I think you are right about separating age from situations.
I love all you guys,I am honest about bring scared, the ladies are strong enough to take it.
You can always fart...in the room with real friends.

Hi Barbara,
I have been having trouble with my puter. Can't always respond to posts or post new topics. I read a post of yours concerning Vit D. I also had lab results of low Vit D. My reading was a 7. susandoeshair gave me some very good advice. She told me to take 50,000 iu 5 days a week for a month to 6weeks then 50,000 iu one day a week once my labs were okay. I did this for one month and then repeated my labs. My reading after a month was 87 which is actually high. You said your doctor told you to take the 50,000 until you used up the bottle.( if I remember right, can't find your original post) I would caution you to check your labs before you use up a 3 month supply. I would be a little afraid to get my numbers too high. Vitamin D can be toxic and no one can tell me how high is too high and what if any sympotms occur if one has a toxic level of vitamin D. I don't want to scare you just caution you to check your labs again after a month or so.
As far as anti-inflamatory drugs....I took mobic with no problems after my RNY for a about a year. I then had knee surgery and developed a blood clot and was put on coumadin. I can no longer take the mobic due to the coumadin. I now take tramadol which is a pain pill and not habbit forming.

Thanks Linda. The doctor said to take the 50,000 iu's every day for 3 weeks then every other day for 2 months. The lab that did my workup showed normal D should be between 30-90 and according to those in the know on this website we should try to keep it at the high end of that, so your 87 looks pretty good. Most websites on the internet show the normal range as 30-100. I figure if I can maintain 60-80 I'll be ok.
I don't take the Mobic every day although I think it would be more effective if I did. I only take it when I really start hurting and then only for a few days until the inflammation subsides. Eventually I guess I'll be looking at knee replacements but not yet.
