It would be nice if all the labs could agree on normal. The Methodist Hospital lab where I go in Houston lists normal as 30-80. I am pretty satisfied with my level but will keep an eye on it since no one know much about toxicity levels.
When I first took mobic I didn't think it did much good so I stopped. After about a week of not taking it I realizedf just how much it did work. I guess I was expecting to be pain free. But the difference in the level of pain with and without it was marked. My left knee is so much better after the clean-out surgery I had two years ago. Even with the complication of blood clots I am in much less pain. My right knee still gives me pain but even it is better. I guess having a relatively good left knee takes pressure off my right one. I have and appointment at the end of the month to discuss doing the right one. Must discuss advantages verses risks of having surgery with a blood clot still present. I am hoping cleaning and smoothing out the right one will buy be five or so years of not needing a knee replacement.

The mobic helps me quite a bit but I'm afraid to take it on a regular basis, not only because of the stomach problems it can cause but I have coronary artery disease also and there was a big fuss a couple of years ago about those drugs causing further heart problems. I think they took one of them off the market and even did that with celebrex for a while. You just never know what to believe. One day they're ok to take, the next day they're going to kill you.
I go to my pcp tomorrow for a cough and cold that I just cannot get rid of. I am going to talk to him about my knees and see if there is anything they can do short of knee replacement. Sounds like you had a lesser procedure. Maybe that will work for me.
