Hi All!
I'm posting on this forum for the first time.  I'm a regular on the Plastic Surgery forum.  I stopped by to check this out since I am over 50 and have successfully lost 150 lbs and still want/need to lose a few more.  I did not have WLS but still struggle with many food issues so sure could use the support and encouragement from a group of my peers.  Let's face it the older we get the harder it is to lose.......

Hope to make some new friends here.......
Will lend all the support and encouragement I can.

Thanks for listening
Ruth

welcome a-board
ruth if you lost 150 # without surgery---please stick around - we could all learn from you!!!!

we all need support of some sort on a daily basis so please make yourself comfy and join right in...it is nice on this board not dealing with the things the youngsters deal with....

we have a what's new thread started by someone daily - everyone just kinda talks away ...

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Margo,
Thanks for the "Welcome"

I'd be happy to share my weight loss journey (the good, the bad, the ugly, the ups the downs and the success),

Have a great evening

Ruth, welcome.  Way to go on the weight loss.  Before I had wls, I lost over two hundred pounds and just could not go any further.  The harder I tried, the more I hurt until finally I had the surgery and took off the remaining couple of hundred.  Yeah, I was huge. LOL.

welcome

Thanks and congrats on your success too!  We all use different tools/methods but have the same goal.

Welcome to OFF, Ruth. It is great to have you join us at our little home away from home. We feel like a family here and so with that we welcome you with open arms.

We offer support and love having the support too. You are an inspiration having done that weight loss on your own. Great job! We all struggle at times and even with wls we still struggle....I guess weight loss is always the same no matter what route you go.

Like Margo said, please join in and just pull up a comfy seat and your favorite cuppa and join us on our chats. That is what is so great about OFF...we are all grown up here and usually there is no dramatics going on here.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
