WARNING WILL ROBINSON WARNING!!! DO NOT EVER PAY OFF YOUR CAR!!!
I went with a Suburu because of all the steel reinforcements. Hit from the front the engine drops down.... hit from the side... steel cross bars in the doors. Gas mileage is good, very low maintenance. Was not my first choice when buying a car but I sure would get another one in a heart beat...
So glad you and kids are fine. Scary situation....

Oh Janet, I'm so happy you were not injured, but I'm terribly sorry you were involved in the accident. It was raining little black clouds all over your parade. Hope the sun shines for a while now. Blessings to you.
Walking with you on this journey, Mary
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Aloha my warrior woman with magic powers to mesmerize!!
I shuddered when I read your headline "DO NOT EVER PAY OFF YOUR CAR!" I didn't want to read anything bad because next April MY LITTLE PENNY will be paid off, and I have been counting the months!! That $438 a month being accessible for OTHER things will be wonderful. Now...I have this image in my head of bad things happening as soon as she is fully paid off!!
First of all.......your safety and your babies' safety was primary and you handled things in your usual take-charge way. Now.....let's see if maybe this cloud will have a silver lining....and in a month or so you will have found an even BETTER car, and it will be mostly paid for by your insurance company, eh? Maybe? You Texans probably don't want to bother with little mosquito cars like my little Chevy Aveo.....but she sure is cute and only sips gasoline like a little lady...not a gulper like the big SUVs and other sedans.
Thanks for sharing your whole story.....read like a juicy novel. So glad that you are OK and the whole family has been having fun together in spite of this horrible incident.
Sending you a gentle hug......don't wanna hurt anything......and hope the whole car things turns out better than you could ever imagine.
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen

First, pass the Valium
then look at Prius or other hybrids. They were pushing 09's. in WA, 2 Toyota incentives, no sales tax. And then they dropped the price further! And I think there is a Fed tax break for hybrids. In CA, there are other rewards. I love mine.
in the meantime, making a note that i will avoid freeways whenever possible.
i'm not sure i'd be sane after all that.

P.S. My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
WOW! {{{gentle hugs}}}
I am so glad you are O.K. and the babies too!!! You certainly lead an exciting life ROFL!! Seriously, I am so glad you are ok other than sore and a sprained hand.
You need to get healed before your cruise in a couple of weeks!!

Oh wow, how horrible ... glad everyone is OK for the most part. My brother got a Ford Fusion and loves it (good gas mileage, cheap, good deal on it), but I'd never buy another Ford after the problems I had with the Escort lemon I had several years ago.
Sorry for all your troubles. What an eventful trip (as short as it was).
