This weekend my Rangers lost two out of three games.  I sat out there for every out of all three games, including a 1 hour and 40 minute delay of the middle game because a set of lights had gone out.

My son's MIL is still in the hospital in Fort Worth.  And getting worse.  Yesterday she received an intubator.  She can not breathe on her own.  She has pneumonia and COPD.

Mary watched the two little kids while I took Eddie to the game Sunday.  Mary and I had figured we would be home by 6PM and I could rest for a couple of hours before going to work.

Well, Brad was working until 5.  I suggested (so it is my fault) that he go join his wife for a little bit at the hospital.  She has been there every day for 10 days.  He had not been up there at all (he and his MIL can not stand each other).  I told him it would be nice to show his support.  So, he went up there, and of course, she was impressed.  I did not let her know it was my idea.  There are some things she does not need to know.

My son does not think to do these kinds of things, but if you suggest it, he is like, hmmmm that sounds good.  I sometimes really am concerned about how long his marraige will last once I pass away.  But until then, I will continue to help him.  When he was having his marraige problems, I sat and talked to him a bit, and he knows his mother and I have been married 35 years, so maybe, just maybe, I might know what I am talking about.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Margo, my last trip to Kansas was to watch the baby while my dil had her garage sell.  It was like a weekend of the entire town doing at the same time garage sales.  Anyway, in the two days that I was there, she made almost 700 bucks.  A friend of hers was there and made a lot too.  People came and went all day.  Plus, and I thought this was pretty cleaver, she filled an ice chest with water and cokes and sold those to the garage sale buyers.

I hope you find your dehumidifier and hope you get it cheap.

Too bad you don't live closer. I have a dehumidifier I'd loan you (it was given to me by someone else and I don't know if she wants it back). It looks crappy but works really well.

Glad you sold some stuff ... maybe a future sale (with advertising) will reap more money ... newspaper ads really do work! (That's a plug for the newspaper).

George, you're right about kids not thinking much of our opinions until they actually have their own kids.  I hate it that your son's MIL is on a respirator.  I was on one for a long day and a half after my wls and would not wish that on anyone.  I have been up long enough to make a pot of coffee and read the news.  It rained here all day yesterday and looks like more rain today.  I don't think we are ever going to get summer.  Today, I am working on a conference paper that I am going to present in Austin.  Between reading and writing on that project, I will be cleaning my office.  I swear, I don't know who puts all those books on my desk, in the floor, and on the day bed.  Must be the cat.  Speaking of the cat.  I think she understands every thing that I say because she was lying in my lap and I was petting her little ears and I said to my dh that she was getting too fat and the doctor said that she was gaining too much weight and she flattened her little ears out and looked at me as if I were insulting her.  Then she jumped down and ran and did the stress eating.  I know.  Totally human acting.  WEll, except the jumping and eating out of a bowl on the floor.

I had to laugh at the story about your cat. It sounds like something my Misty would do. Last week she unplugged the living room lamp and I yelled at her. Later on I was calling her Devil Child and every time that I did that she would jump up and run down the hall to the bedroom. Then later on when I called my baby girl she came and got on my lap. I don't understand those people who think that our pets don't understand what is being said to them. They are so full of it! Obviously they don't have pets...or if they do they don't talk to them.

Good morning George and all,

I posted a long one yesterday, in the pm so probably was too late. I won't go into it all again, but just say the weekend was very nice and I wi**** was still Sat or Sun.
For a switch, we are having summer weather pretty early this year, last year was a pretty short summer. I am hoping this one will make up for the last one.

I would like to have a garage sale but I'm too lazy at this point. Beth will be moving into her 1st apartment when she gets home from her summer camp job so I will be able to give her some of the stuff, but will still need to find homes for lots of other things....

I asked a nutrition/ vitamin questions yesterday on the what's new Sunday post and want to add that I have been noticing some memory trouble. When I talked with my PCP last I was also having hot flashes from hell and she thought the memory stuff was r/t the menopause crap. I know the B12 or lack of can screw with memory, my levels have always been really really high so ...guess I should talk with the doc again. I am starting to worry a bit.

Well, off to the treadmill, then to work...
Take Care all,
Cheryl
