It'sMonday Morning, of course I am at work. What's new with you????
My son's MIL is still in the hospital in Fort Worth. And getting worse. Yesterday she received an intubator. She can not breathe on her own. She has pneumonia and COPD.
Mary watched the two little kids while I took Eddie to the game Sunday. Mary and I had figured we would be home by 6PM and I could rest for a couple of hours before going to work.
Well, Brad was working until 5. I suggested (so it is my fault) that he go join his wife for a little bit at the hospital. She has been there every day for 10 days. He had not been up there at all (he and his MIL can not stand each other). I told him it would be nice to show his support. So, he went up there, and of course, she was impressed. I did not let her know it was my idea. There are some things she does not need to know.
My son does not think to do these kinds of things, but if you suggest it, he is like, hmmmm that sounds good. I sometimes really am concerned about how long his marraige will last once I pass away. But until then, I will continue to help him. When he was having his marraige problems, I sat and talked to him a bit, and he knows his mother and I have been married 35 years, so maybe, just maybe, I might know what I am talking about.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
ok -yard sale report- day 1 was long - sold my dresser and the liv room chairs -i reporte dthat yesterday- and made $160.25 with another $100 to come probly wednesday when she picks up the dresser and other chair...day 2 -yesterday- we made $8.75 -----whoooooooooooo hoooooooooo!!! *** that was sarcasm!!!! but it's money we didn't have!!!) long long day!!! however- we did manage to really get serious about cleaning the garage out ( we had stuff from my son's and other "stuff" stacked and thrown --so that when we get ready next weekend we have a ton more "stuff" to go out in the sale (just need to price it) AND when we closed up yesterday we only brought the tv's and computer back into the house- everything else went into the garage--that deserves a big whoooooooooooo hoooooooooo in itself!!!!!!!!!! AND there is a huge gaping hole in the basement mess so that i can now get at some other "stuff" to get it outside for the sale!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm not sure but i just might have yardsale flu next weekend.........................in all of that cleaning yesterday; i actually could SEE my stuff stacke din the back corner of the garage so there is hope!!!! someday i'll get back in the business of sorting thru and getting rid of--it's books and christmas decorations and craft stuff and misc from my former life.....by the time we got done cleaning etc , my feet were killing me- even my toes hurt!!!and my jeans were stuck to me in sweat -it got a bit humid toward he end of day....
we had goprgeous weather for our sale and met some wonderful folks so i feel blessed there!
i'm going to actually break down and advertise for next weekend tho!
ok- so - we showered after we ate and went to wally's and lowe's for a dehumidifier-when did they get so friggin expensive?????????????????????i know that i did not pay that much 4 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we did NOT buy- michael is trying to revive ours but if we have to we'll go to like ABC warehouse or something (where i got this one for less $) .
today is just work- maybe a trip for a dehumidifier and then clean out my dresser ...laundry to do ...
oops- i need to scoot -get gorgeous and get to work....
george- gosh, isn't it odd how our kids don't think we know anything til they start having families? big hugs to ya for your dad advice!!!!
and hugs and prayers to everyone else......
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, my last trip to Kansas was to watch the baby while my dil had her garage sell. It was like a weekend of the entire town doing at the same time garage sales. Anyway, in the two days that I was there, she made almost 700 bucks. A friend of hers was there and made a lot too. People came and went all day. Plus, and I thought this was pretty cleaver, she filled an ice chest with water and cokes and sold those to the garage sale buyers.
I hope you find your dehumidifier and hope you get it cheap.

Glad you sold some stuff ... maybe a future sale (with advertising) will reap more money ... newspaper ads really do work! (That's a plug for the newspaper).

I had to laugh at the story about your cat. It sounds like something my Misty would do. Last week she unplugged the living room lamp and I yelled at her. Later on I was calling her Devil Child and every time that I did that she would jump up and run down the hall to the bedroom. Then later on when I called my baby girl she came and got on my lap. I don't understand those people who think that our pets don't understand what is being said to them. They are so full of it! Obviously they don't have pets...or if they do they don't talk to them.
I posted a long one yesterday, in the pm so probably was too late. I won't go into it all again, but just say the weekend was very nice and I wi**** was still Sat or Sun.
For a switch, we are having summer weather pretty early this year, last year was a pretty short summer. I am hoping this one will make up for the last one.
I would like to have a garage sale but I'm too lazy at this point. Beth will be moving into her 1st apartment when she gets home from her summer camp job so I will be able to give her some of the stuff, but will still need to find homes for lots of other things....
I asked a nutrition/ vitamin questions yesterday on the what's new Sunday post and want to add that I have been noticing some memory trouble. When I talked with my PCP last I was also having hot flashes from hell and she thought the memory stuff was r/t the menopause crap. I know the B12 or lack of can screw with memory, my levels have always been really really high so ...guess I should talk with the doc again. I am starting to worry a bit.
Well, off to the treadmill, then to work...
Take Care all,
Cheryl
