I see Margo's post didn't have an impact on Linda so here's what I'm eating. If I weren't having eating problems, I'd not give a crap. but I am trying to keep up with what I am eating.  Here goes:  For breakfast, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and a about half a teaspoon of diet jelly.  I ate a bannana for snack.  For lunch, same and will be the same for dinner.  When I can hold something down, I go with it.  I am having strawberries and another bannana for snack. If I get hungry before dinner, I might have a little cream of wheat.  That's it.

hi Jeannie,   wow thats not much...are you not eating any protein ??? i dont mean to harp at you or get you upset  b ut it is so so important.  A friend of mine who had weight loss surgery wound up seeing a cardilogist and he said that wls patients are really doing bad things to their hearts from not getting enough protein in....he said the surgeons should be telling their patients that they need at least 80 grams in addition to any that they eat..... I know you have an ulcer but i am worried about you.... take care of you please.....

I cannot do the protein shakes.  I have tried them in every shape and form and all they do is make me throw up and that causes me to dehydrate and I just do better if I eat the peanut butter.  Last night I was able to eat a little steak.  I am boiling eggs today and will try to get a couple of those down.  I realized after I wrote my meal plan down that it was way sparse on protein.  My weightloss surgeon has my latest lab work and the dietician, who, by the way, is a total whack job, is turning in her latest propaganda to my pcp and if things are better, I will continue as I have, but if they are not, they are talking about doing some supplimetal tube feedings through a button.  I don't have a button and probably won't let them do a button.  I'm waiting on what the latest labs say.  I swear to you, I spend hours a day planning and implementing those plans on eating and drinking.  It just seems that with this ulcer, nothing works.  There is another option, but that is to have a revision so that they can make me a new pouch.  I don't know.  I'll see. In the meantime, I am keeping my fingers crossed that all the suppliments and all the extra eating has paid off.  Today is a bad example of how I eat.  I am just too busy to cook; although, I do eat a lot of peanut butter.

My daughter is doing great.  The kids are great.  You would not recognize Mathew.  He is four and is reading.  We sent him to preschool and he picked it up just like that.

The surgeon said the button can be taken out after they get me where they want me.  I don't know.  I've seen them in kids but never in adults and am afraid that it will leak or something.  Plus, what if it goes the wrong way and I end up gaining a ton of weight?

Oh, my son had wls last year, you remember how big he was?  He started out like close to 500 and he is down to 210.  At his height, the doc says that he is fine to stay there but he wants to lose a little more.  He has been approved for a tummy tuck and thigh lift job thingy.  So, he will probably have it done soon.

I remember getting down on the sand and thinking they will never get my big butt up off here. LOL.  That was sure a lot of fun.  You have a beautiful place and the lake is an added bonus.   We are going to have to go dig for crystals soon.  Well, when Kenny gets better.  He has this illness that has combined with his crones and he is so sick and weak.  Tomorrow we go back to his gastro man and see what's up with his crones.  The whipples is being treated by an infection doctor. I never imagined that I'd be taking care of him.  Wow, how things change.

How's Joe doing and your sister and kids?

Hi Jeannie,

Sorry to hear you are having problems with what you can eat. I have not been on OFF in a long time but I remember you had problems with eating back when I used to keep up. I hope you are able to get things turned around for yourself without the button unless you feel it will help you in the long run.

Glad to hear things are good with your daughter and grandson.

My eating problems are on the opposite end of the scale, pun intended, as I have gained back half of what I lost with surgery. I am in a 12 step food addiction group which seems to be helping. But unlike you, where you have no control over what stays down and what does not, I was eating too many of the wrong foods. The surgeon fixed my stomach but my head is still very screwed up when it comes to food.
