Good Morning Cheryl and everyone.......

Just me checking in. I am doing okay...the pain is getting better. I can actually get in and out of bed by myself and take care of my own needs.

My shoulder that has a slight tear in the rotar cuff is hurting more because I have to put more weight on my arms now. I can only put 50 pounds on my bad hip and leg.I am sure I will have to have surgery on it before too long....UGH!!

Many thanks to all of you for the good thoughts and prayers. I appreciate all the lovely cards I have received....they have cheered me up...thanks again!! You are all so thoughtful!!

Glad to read that everyone here is doing okay.

I get tired really easily so it is hard for me to do much posting. I do read posts I just have trouble answering them.

I wish you all a great day. Share a smile with someone new today.Special prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to  all....connie d

Just think, Connie.....we're going to have matching scars!!!  I have one
from before when my hip was replaced, so my surgeon will go back
in there to do the revision of the hip socket.....In case you missed
my post - the surgery is July 1st.

Glad to hear you are doing well......I will continue to pray for you daily for healing.

Love and hugs back at 'cha!

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know you were having surgery again. I wish you the very best. This not getting around is killing me. I am used to being on the move all the time.

Thanks for the good wishes and the prayers too!!!

Hugs....connie d

Hi Cheryl and my OFF family:

I was up about that time here in Michigan ... if you're ever up that late and need to talk, give me a call. I'm always up late. I was up watching Season 2 of the "The Tudors." I got it from my brother Gary for my birthday and hadn't started watching it yet. So I watched the first two episodes last night. It's supposed to be more historically accurate than the first season. Don't care ... it's still so good. I really want to go to England sometime and see these places. Hell, I want to go anywhere right now than Michigan ... it's so rainy and dreary here.

I just came back from having my yearly bariatric labs drawn. This year, I asked for a copy of the results so I can see where I'm at. It was interesting ... the tech had to get foil to put on two of the tubes ... one for the B1 and one for RBC-folate ... anyone know what RBC-folate is for? Even she didn't know. I guess I need to look that up.

Jeannie, I know what you mean about looking up drugs on the Internet. My friend Rox's husband does that with all of his symptoms and then tells her he needs some expensive procedure done, or he's got some disease and he's dying. He is such a hypochondriac.

Work last night started out strange ... I couldn't log onto my computer because my profile was wiped out. I had to call our computer support guy at home, and he had to restore my profile remotely. So while he did that, I had a chat with him, and we talked about all the people leaving at the end of the month. Our executive editor's last day is Thursday (traditionally, they have a big sheet cake and a goodbye party ... it's always at 10 a.m., after deadline ... I never go, it's too early in the morning). But at least I signed his card. He's a big Cubs fan, so I had to stick it to him about that. He knows I'm a Sox fan and we always go at it about the crosstown rivalry. I just wonder who they're going to hire to replace him.

The good news in town is a bunch of new jobs are coming here soon ... well, in the next couple of years at least. And they're not auto related. That's what most of the news in the paper has been about in the past couple of days.

Carla and Phyllis are supposed to come by sometime today ... don't know when, though. I don't go to work til 6 p.m., so hopefully sometime before then.

Well, I need to get some food in this body. I had to fast before the labs ... I also had to be off vitamins for 24 hours, so I didn't take my vitamins until I got home from the blood draw.

I hope the Sox and Cubs can play today ... it was postponed last night. It's drizzling here; my Weather Channel bug says it's raining at Wrigley Field, too.

Have a good day.

Thanks ... I knew you'd know. Are you the one who has the list of what are levels should be? Could you e-mail it to me? My e-mail's on the bottom with my signature. Thanks. It will help to ask intelligent questions this year at my appointments.

Good Afternoon everyone,
I have been missing in action for a day or so. I was traveling yesterday from chicago to Phyllis's house in frankenmuth. It is 300 miles from Chicago. I had to make a pit stop in south haven Mi to give my sister her glasses and some other stuff. She fell and broke a rib and her glasses she had with her. So Carla to the rescue!!!!!
My daughter cut my hair into a 20's bob. it looks real cute and makes me look 20 years younger.
It is raining here in Frankenmuth so we are playing on the puter.
Tomorrow I am going Traverse city to see Nan.....
Hope all is safe and stayingout of the rain....
