Oh yea.... life goes on....
Lessee....
Well, first off, the "new" job...
Going well... it's tough on the knee, but as long as I rest when I come home I am ok... I have put in for a couple of new jobs with the same company, but both jobs were given to guys returning from Iraq... they were not nearly as qualified as I am, but I am OK with them getting the positions... they worked in a nasty place for a while and want to come home... so I am unpromoted, but truthfully just grateful to be working in this ugly economy... In the next couple of years there will a lot of expansion on Fort Benning due to the Armor school from Fort Knox being relocated here... so there should be lots of opportunities coming up...
I am going on vacation Saturday... a week in Myrtle Beach courtesy (and with) the in laws... looking forward to rehydrating my gills in sal****er...
My wife has had a third operation on here shoulder.... and is recovering once again at home... she should go back to work when we get back from the vacation.
We have a new puppy.... I gave in after a year of her asking... I have a 12 year old dog and didn't want to subject her to dealing with a puppy, but my wife let me have the wood turning lathe of my dreams so a puppy was the least I could do... she is a minituture dachshound and a real pain in the patootie...
That is all for now.... onward I go...

Hey, you were pretty worried a year or so ago about finding a job. Sometimes it takes a while for our superiors to recognize the untapped genius right under their noses.
What did wifey do? Torn rotator cuff? How'd that happen?
What's the new puppies name? My friend has a mini weiner dog and named him Frank. How is your older dog taking it?

Marc, have a great time on vacation. You have worked hard for it so enjoy it while it is here.
A new puppy?????? I wouldn't have the patience for a puppy anymore. They take to much time and effort...but then again warm weather is the time to house break them so that is good. I guess if they came to me house broke I would take one in a minute but them Misty my cat would walk around with her nose out of joint and a protest sign permanently attached to her front paw! She is and wants to be an only child.
Have fun with the new lathe...Marc has a new play toy!

Hi Marc,
Glad to hear you like the new job and you have the right attitude about working in this economy, I'm sure in time you will get exactly what you need! Also hope your wife is recovering well and enjoy the vacation, it will be a while before I can enjoy one, but I love my new job and it's not bad coming to work everyday, so I too am grateful to be among the employed once more!
Aww, a puppy, isn't that grand, I'm not sure I'm up for that one anytime soon, but enjoy! P.S. My Dillinger is 4 months post-op now and doing great, so the doctors saved his life and were wrong about how long he would last, as of right now, you'd hardly know that he was ever sick. . . I am truly living a grateful life!
Take care, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Lucky You ....going to Myrtle Beach, as a Canadian we have travelled there many times in the winter months. Try BURRO LOCO's Happy hour. We really love to go to the ocean. I live on Lake Superior, the largest fresh lake in the world, and sometimes it feels like an ocean, but not the same...no salt! You and your wife enjoy your vacation and I hope she feels better real soon.
