B- Protein shake L- Slice of roast beef,with 2 slices of Pepper Cheese,3 wheat crackers D-no...smile. S- 2 oranges and a apple.
I got to get some laughs in today,I hope you did too!

Top of the morning to you our sweet little Linda. I hope that today is good for you...you deserve nothing less than the greatest of days.

I go to the doctor this afternoon. So the nurses think that I need to be on a low dose of anti biotic for a while. I agree with that idea...so that might be on my agenda from now on. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

Food went a bit better yesterday as far as protein goes. I made a new recipe called Impossibly Easy Southwestern Pie and I made sure that it was full of protein. I ate some of it...not much but enough to get extra protein. It didn't call for meat in it but I put about a pound of ground round in it and it had black beans and cheese in it too. So the important thing is it was fairly good and I got lots of left overs and so that will come in handy. I got lunch for Bill for work too. That is always a happy thing for me. I hate packing lunches and it was so nice not having to do it last week while he was on vacation. Oh well....such is life I guess.

B: nothing
L: a kiwi (I know not much there but it was something)
D: a small plate of the southwestern pie that I made
S: nothing

Have a great day and remember that I am sending love and hugs to you along with plenty of prayers being said for you and yours. Spread the seeds of happiness and joy so others can enjoy them along with you too.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good morning dear Brenda,I think you did well. I find fruit helps my system digest soooo much better,no bathroom problems.
Now you know you must give up the pie recipe, hehehe.
I am happy you are seeing the doctor today.
You are so sweet Bren, and I feel the infection is slowing you down.
Well,I am off to the doctors soon...
Take care!

Green beans and chicken is on the menu. Tom had a golf banquet last night so I cooked up enough for two days. He just doesn't get my craving for green beans lately. Neither do I.

I had a good laugh from my daughter Mary. Her water company called and asked if they had a water leak recently because the water bill was so high. Nope. Two things have changed in their house. M&M have discovered it is fun to turn on the outside hose to water the plants, dogs, house and each other. Miss M (3 years old) has decided she MUST bathe in her parents Jacuzzi each night. The darned thing is almost the size of an olympic pool and she likes the water up to her neck. It is pretty bad when the water company notices high water usage. Made me laugh.

Good morning sweet Linda and other wonderful friends.  Well, time to 'fess up.  I haven't been doing as well as I should.  I don't think I'm isolating myself because of overeating, I think I'm overeating because I'm isolated.  This week I'm trying to do better.  Change in menu from yesterday - we stopped at VooDoo BBQ rather than Wendy's on the way to Ethan's game I chose wisely - brisket, turnip greens, and baked beans.  I managed to eat most of the brisket, 1/2 of the greens, and just two spoons of the beans (they were too sweet).  Guess who cleaned my plate!  GEORGE!  He ordered grilled tuna, tater salad, and turnip greens.  The tuna was delicious - I had to taste it.  Poor George has gained so much weight since my wls - partly due to always wanting to clean my plate, and partly because the week I had wls, he started a new "desk" job.  He's struggling to lose the excess, and now sees how hard it was for me all those years.  Anyway, on to the menu before I get caught playing on the computer.

B - protein shake
S - ham and cheese roll up with a handful of blueberries
L - chili, 1/2 a hot dog, cheese, and 4 - 6 reduced fat Wheat Thins
S - a small apple and some cheese
D - red beans with sausage, spinach sauteed in a touch of olive oil with garlic
S - protein shake

Be blessed and stay well,
Debbie

Debbie, that is an excellent take on isolation, and sadly so true! I am so happy you are checking in. I am jealous you can order greens...sigh,no such thing here. I make my own,and I feel a batch coming on...smile.
I do understand about George,it is a miracle I can lose! I am no way active,I hit the pool, sadly, that is about it.
Oh,I am going to a play Saturday with the nice man I meant at the deli,my daughter teases me about going shopping and picking up men,not so!! He makes me laugh.
Please have a great day.
Hugs!

Okay, this is the second attempt to write and post.  Kitty decided that she wanted to walk across my laptop and before I could stop her, she did and I lost my post. If she weren't so damn cute, I'd be pissed.
B: 1/2 cup cottage cheese
S: boiled egg
L: three ounces of minute steak
S: cheese stick
D: osters out of the can
S: 1/2 cup cottage cheese and fruit

I am focusing only on proteins.  My choice would be vegetables because they are less painful to my pouch.  What I notice in my eating is that I don't fill my pouch when I eat dense foods because it is uncomfortable.  Plus, I am afraid that I will get too full and throw the food up.  That happens on peanut butter in a spoon.  So, I like to eat the vegetables cause they go down and out real quick.
Today, protein and hopefully the unjury samples will arrive.
