I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning one and all! Margo, when you're not doing your yard sale due to the weather, can you come to my house? See below
What's new??? Too much!
First of all, Annette's friend Henreitta the hernia has come to live at our house for awhile. No, I'm not happy, calling my surgeon today to get into see him is not in my summer plan. Oh well, such is life. Then, Tuesday I was getting ready for work and while doing my hair I burned my neck with the curling iron. I've done it a million times, heck, what woman hasn't? When I went to see my Dr Dan I wanted him to look at it, just 'cause I was paying a co-pay anyway, might as well get my $$'s worth, right? He was more concerned about my neck than my nether regions. The spot had swollen to about the size of a ping pong ball and is infected! What the heck?? Antibiotics for a week. AGHHHHHH
Then, my SIL called from San Diego. She and my niece want to come for a visit in a WEEK!!! Oh, God. This woman lives in a model home, off the cover of Better Homes and Gardens/Southern Living/Martha Stewart, you get the idea. My spare bedroom is now my office and Saint Bella production room. We have an AeroBed, which she will use, and my neice will have to sleep on the couch. I didn't tell her about the hernia, not wanting her to think I was making excuses for her not to come, but HECK, I'm in no shape to clean the house before she comes! Guess I'll hire my friend to do it for me.
Sure hope everyone is happy and healthy today and that you have big plans for the weekend

Aloha Susan......and I just got home and was reading the posts from this morning and realized I didn't respond to yours....one of my "favoritest "people!!
Your spirit is so strong and even though you have some things to deal with physically right now, you sound in control and ready to do what needs to be done to get 'er done! I ALWAYS cringe when I hear the word "INFECTION" and am glad that the docs jumped on that one right away. We live in a world now where infections are nasty little buggars.....and they like to outwit our antibiotics and create new wars for us to battle.
Please take care of yourself..........you are special.
Aloha nui loa,

Margo, that toe nail fungus stuff works wonderfully and my poor old big toe had been so bad that it was getting too thick to put a shoe on. In fact, it didn't even look like a toe nail. I made sure, though, that I smeared the stuff on my tail nail and put it around the cuticle as well. Then after the first week, I soaked it, cut some of that nasty nail off, and kept right on treating it. Perserverance is the key to beating it. By the time I was about to give up, I noticed that the new nail that was growing in looked normal. So, for a long time, I was deligent at cutting the fungus one off, a little at a time. I still use it about once a month, when I can find the bottle, because I want to make sure it is gone. I hadn't realized how much it costs, but the one the doctor was going to give me was like a hundred bucks. I looked it up on the internet and saw the active ingriedient and found it in the over counter stuff. I have the cutest little toenails. That was the only reason that I was looking forward to spring and summer, the sandels.

Aloha my friend........Glad to hear that you are de-cluttering, but sorry that the weather isn't cooperating. I, too, need, to get serious about tossing stuff that just collects dust and no one really cares about except me. I find cute little things at the thrift store, put them on a shelf and wonder later why I ever bought that. Sigh.
Hawaii is a wonderful thing to dream about. That dream sustained me for years before I actually moved here, and now it just feels like I've always lived here. One warning I want to give you about the Big Island, Margo, is to be sure and check out the VOG problem that the volcano is causing lately. There have been school closings and warnings to stay indoors with A/C on on some days when the VOG is so thick. We get it here on Maui when the winds blow Kona (vs. Trade winds from north) and sometimes it's so thick I can't see Kihei across the bay. I have a feeling there are certain parts of the Big Island that aren't as affected as others.....good thing for you to research.
Today I'm going to see doc to find out why I've been feeling so yucky lately. It comes and goes, but many days I just don't have energy and feel achy and odd. Tried a few things....but still don't feel good like I used to.
Thank you again, dear one, for your communications from Panama.
