I'm Going to be Moving!

Thanks Pat! We have so much work ahead of us for the move but after our lives will be so much easier.  You are right about being able to do fun things together.  We love to go for walks but never have the time because there is always so much work around the house.  I am really looking forward to a smaller place with much less maintenance.

Marcia, congratulations on your new lifestyle. It sounds like it is going to be a great move. I know it is hard to downsize, I had to help my Mom do that.

When is the big move?

Thanks Brenda!  We sign the lease on 7/6 and then we will start moving things in slowly.

I know you live on the Island now, but how long have you lived there?  When I was younger, my grandfather used to take me to Bronco Charlie's in Sayville.  That is where I first ate duck.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I was born in Brooklyn, grew  up in Queens and lived in Farmingville since 1972.  The island is still a nice place to live.

Great news Marci, and I'm so glad you are looking forward to it.  Moving is such a HUGE task, and I wish you the very best, and caution you to be careful how much you lift.  I feel like I've walked through your new home with you.  It's perfect!!!  Blessings on your new home, how exciting!!!

Walking with you on this journey, Mary

Thanks so much!  We have our wonderful daughter and son-in-law to help with the move and also the son of our good friends.  We have lots to pack but the young ones will be doing the heavy lifting.

Aloha Marcia......I am so happy for you. This will be life changing for sure.

When I moved to Maui in 2001, I moved from a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath house with 2800 sq. feet! (in Oregon) Can you just imagine the stuff I had to get rid of! I had a garage sale lady who I would my van full to her of things to sell. She only took 15% which was amazing. Another plus was that my son bought the house from me, so I left him all the furniture, washer/dryer, etc. plus most of kitchen stuff.....that was great.

My Maui condo is one bedroom, one bath and tiny! I have learned that I can get along with so much less...and I don't even miss anything I sold or gave away. And......we have gardeners who keep everything beautiful!

Have fun.....and it is so wonderful to hear you so happy.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
