It's Saturday. What's New?

morning eileen and everyone! yard sale day 3-yesterday-michael earned $11.00...not bad for a rainy ucky day--as i drove to work there were two large areas of flooded road and dummy me drove right thru them- had no choice! luckily everything was alright with the car!!!! came hoem and manage dto egt everything put away just befor ethe rains began again-muggy as heck...ugggh.....

at work, the floor was flooded in the basement - there is a ramp driveway to the basement and garage so all water runs downhill - they sandbag the doors but it wasn't enough! i work in the basement but we are actually up three steps  so our area was dry--except! we had a power out for like 2 seconds and it thew the breaker for our ac-we didn't know til after 1030 that we had no ac- thought we were just losing our marbles!-sooooo we were frying our brains ! ok- long story short- the water got all cleared up and we had ac and i couldn't wait to get outta there!

so this morning i am up watching the weather- we need to get outside and get set up for day 4--i really am not "up" for this today but we will perservere! and we still have so much stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

chico-michael's bird- was doing that (death) crying thing yesterday /last nite- i am thinking his end may be near..tho this morning he talked to me- "Kiss" and "bye bye " clear and sound  as day....

last nite i sheared roxie with the clippers- poor dog! she looks funny now but it's easier to keep her clean when she gets out in this rain etc ! but i didn't trim her eyes yet-need to do that with scissors....so i know she is in there but i can't see her eyes!!!!

that's about all i know- oh!no--today is my daughter's 31st birthday!!!!! happy birthday robyn!!!!!!!!

ok-gotta get dressed and get motivating toward the front yard....

I have been following your travel and future travel adventures with envy and am also jealous that you are doing the cleaning out and garage sale thing that I SHOULD be doing....good job and good luck. Hope you keep making $.

My son is turning 31 in August. It is hard to believe.

My daughter is bringing the grands up for the weekend.  So, for the next two or three days, we will spend them chasing the kids, being chased by the kids, and running to the park and in the park. 

Speaking of TVs, my dh wants to get one of those giant TVs.  A couple of years ago, we got a flat screened HD one that is big, or big enough.  He now wants one that is huge.  I keep saying no way but I suppose when he gets his bonus, he will buy one.  I am just too tired to fight that battle.  He says his eyes are too bad to see the one we have.  Yeah right.  He sees the TV.  He just wants a big one so he doesn't have to raise his head when he is lying on the sofa. 

This morning, I started some jello jigglers for the kids.  When the kids get here, I let them use cookie cutters to make the shapes they want for their jigglers and Baby Girl is old enough now to use the cutters too.  Jello is the best invention ever. 

My weekend is set.  I would have liked to been able to hit the library and might can still do that during nap time for the kids.

I have never eaten a jello jiggler, always have wanted to try one tho... My mom gave me a little kit that is sitting in my cupboard. It is very old so probably not a good idea to make them now.

I just use the recipe on the jello box.  I put it on a sheet cake pan and when it sets, I let the little ones cut them with cookie cutters.  Or, if I'm lazy, I just cut them like cake. LOL. 

Eieen wont your homeowners insurance pay for it if it wa**** by ightening? mine did ours? and we came out better for it....got our new digita flat screen that way.if you do get to get a new one dont get Plasma, or this is what my computer nerd y son says...that they burn the image into the screen to easily....
it is so so hot down here and humidity is horrible....heat index temps are running close to 100 every day. 
Garden is growning like crazy and im going crazy trying to keep up with putting it in the freezer.

You are so smart.... I didn't even think about homeowner's insurance.  They will replace it but Eileen will have a deductible.

I'm procrastinating this morning - need to be cleaning up the cat fur, and spruce up the bathrooms and just plain don't feel like it....don't know why!

We didn't get the second round of bad storms they had called for, but further north up by Eileen they got hit pretty hard.   It's really muggy this morning and I will most likely shut the door and turn on the a/c -- I just don't do "muggy".

What can I say, today is my sister's birthday and they are so busy with the BIL's doctor visits and his chemo, she can't seem to find a time to get together with me....and to top it all off, she told me last nite they are listing their house....OMG, they've moved probably 20 times since they've been married -- all within a 10 mile area!   I just
can't believe they would consider it right now with all they're going thru with his cancer.....

Better finish my decaf and get a bite of breakfast.....I sure hope
my mood improves soon....sorry!

makes one wonder what motivates soemone to move....yesterday, our sheriff buddy starte dhis spiel about all of the foreclosures when i said we were selling- i finally just said "i don't want to hear he negatives..i know what is going on but we have to TRY" --he is a true " negative nelson " and a knowitall...or so he thinks...

i don't do muggy either and it is already trying to swelter here!
i jus****ched on the weather channel- a road in Holland (MIch) is wiped out- a big huge sink hole!! wow!!!!!!! i won't whine about the rain dampening our yard sale ...

Yeah, Margo, that's what she said....he doesn't want her to get stuck with a huge yard and stuff she wouldn't be able to take care of....why didn't he think of that when they moved to this place.....it's way off the road back down a lane.  I love my BIL but he can be a "butthead" and he's really mean to my sis, verbally.  Then when I asked her where they would consider moving to, she said Angola -- I said why?  we don't have anybody over that way and you'd be 45 miles from me
and your daughter???  She didn't reply -- he was yelling at her in
the background, so we hung up.  He's a very negative person too, and that doesn't help her -- she has R.A. really bad and it's hard on her
to put up with him, but she has no choice.  She turns 63 today and would have no income if something happened to him.

Hope your garage sale does good for you.....it's cloudy here again but they're not calling for any more rain today.

I haven't been in this bad of a mood for ages.....need to get it together.
