What's New- Tuesday
Hi All,
I'm up, but not for long. We are in Vancouver, British Columbia... and leaving early in the morning for Victoria. We'll be driving our cars onto a ferry- a new experience for me! Our trip has been great so far. The bed and breakfast house is so nice. Here's a link if you'd like to see;

We'll be heading home to CA on Sunday. I'm hoping to be able to meet one or two of you on the way down I-5. Hope everything is going well for our OFF members.

Good morning all. I'm posting early today. I normally wait a little while.
First, news on my DIL. No decision was made yet. Her mother just shrugs her shoulders at any question. She does not care. I know part of it is she is tired of being a burden. I think another part is she has given up. The doctor will be doing a tracheotomy tomorrow. Maybe. He was supposed to do it today. I think he wants to see a reason to do it. Don't truthfully know, because I have not been there.
Mary is still holding up fine with the grandkids. Today they were even better behaved than normal.
Brad (son) keeps getting better and better news at his new job. I think I have updated everyone up until today. Today the boss calls him in, says we need to discuss money. Then he tells Brad that effective immediately, he is management and therefor is on the bonus plan. Any month they hit their goal monetarily, he will get a bonus of $500. The boss says, by the way, we already hit goal this month, so you will be getting the $500 at then end of this month. My son is so happy. They are going to his brother-in-law's wedding in July and were trying to figure where they were going to pull the money from. Well, here it is and they will not have to touch their budget.
So, there is a sigh of relief in his house tonight.

Such good news for Brad and his family. He found a great job there. I only wish some folks I know could fall into something as good. Here in Michigan, you're lucky if you can find a job with WalMart as a greeter right now. We have the highest unemployment rate (14.1) in the nation. Luckily at this point my sons and DIL's all have jobs. I can't imagine if any of them were out of work....
If you believe, you receive. :)

My one son and DIL are teachers. The other son is an engineer and works for a company that supplies the auto companies (but he's been lucky so far) and his wife is a Psychologist. Hopefully they'll all be ok. Hubby works for a company that also supplies the auto companies and his company (Metaldyne) has declared bankruptcy. We're sitting on pins and needles to see what happens with him.
George,
Funny thing, but just in the nick of time things have a way of working out, but sometimes you sweat leading up to it. .. I think it's faith and knowing that usually what we need gets provided for us. . .

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I came to work today extremely tired. Sometimes my family makes me wonder. Everyone knows my work hours. I went to bed at 8AM (should have been 7, bu****ched DVR'd show In Plain Sight). At 9:30 AM my daughter calls on the home phone. She knows Mary is watching the kids at Oleta's house. Asks me if there is any update on Oleta's mom. So, I spend 3 minutes on the phone with her and take about 10 minutes to go back to sleep. At 11:00 AM my nephew calls my cell phone to tell me about his graduation party and his sister's birthday party for this Saturday. I mumble have fun, I won't be there. Rangers are in town. And it is the Season Ticket Holders Picnic in the afternoon. I am taking Eddie, as Mary is going to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Penny and her girls at the Dallas Music Hall. So Eddie will be with me from 10AM until 10 PM. We will have a great time. Mary will go to the party after the musical as long as someone can bring her home. Anyway, I get him off the phone and go back to sleep. At about 12:30, one of the dogs nudges me because he wants to go outside. My alarm is set for 1:10, so I just give up.
Where all this is going is I am drained coming into work tonight. I get here and the air conditioning is out. Huge fans all over the place. The repairman finished his work a little after I got here and it finally cooled down about 2AM.
