Am I the first on here Today? So what's happening Weds?
Not finding much time to do any for me stuff this week. Erin is in Seattle working her long one day away from home. She left at 4:30am and won't be home til about 8pm. Of course instead of sleeping til 7am this morning my C and H sugar twins woke up at 6am. Hannah was sitting in the corner of her crib playing; Clara was standing up gripping the bars of the crib concentrating on cleaning out her system. Man, the grunts, groans, and toots that can come from those little bodies. Clara discovered whole green beans for dinner last night. Maybe that helped clean the system out! Hannah just smashed the beans out of the pods; Clara sucked hers down like spaghetti noodles!
I took off yesterday and went thrift store shopping in Olympia about 30 miles north of here. Love my GPS! So much better than map questing and trying to read as I drive. Even when I mess up the GPS gets me back on track and to my destination. Just love that it knows where I am even when I don't!
Going to Seattle to visit my sis in law tomorrow. She has a movement disorder akin to Parkinson's and is moving into a really nice assisted living complex with an indoor pool. However, it is not a move she wants to make. She is just 69. My mom called the assisted living places half way houses. I understand the feeling, but she has been falling at home and even with a lifeline necklace she isn't doing well. She doesn't eat well, has recently been dehydrated and had a bladder infection. Getting up and down to go to the bathroom is difficult so she doesn't drink enough. . . I'm sure you all get the picture. It's just sad.
Also lost one of my aunts this week. She was 93, still lived at home. Fell a couple of weeks ago breaking a jaw and collarbone. She developed pneumonia and went fast. She was the one I liked to stay with when I would visit family in Arkansas. Not very many left to visit. The circle of life makes me sad sometimes.
I think of you all as I go about my day. Even when I don't find time to post I usually pop in and read a bit. I especially liked Darlene's post today about the different "tools " that we all have. I don't use many of the ones that I know I have or I have let them become rusty. I vow to sharpen them up and put them to use. Hope you all have a good day.

I am so tired today! Victoria was a blast...we visited the Butchart Gardens, and roamed Victoria for hours. Taking the ferry was an interesting proposition. We had to wait 2 hours for the morning ferry and we missed the 5:00 ferry going home by 3 minutes. The next ferry was having a mechanical problem, so we were not able to leave until 8:00, 3 hours later. We hiked to a pub about a mile away and it was so much fun...serendipity... and on the way home on the ferry we saw several pods of whales. I couldn't have walked all those miles at my old weight.
Today we are resting and cooking dinner at home. Tomorrow we have planned to go to Whistler which is where the 2010 Winter Olympics will be held.
We just went to Costco and bought a GPS system. We have been using my brother-in-law's GPS this week and we decided it is a necessary item. I'm thinking that we probably paid too much for it here in Canada (everything seems much more expensive here) but we will really use it going home.
Take care of yourselves!

I went to the Winter Olympics when it was in Calgary and had a ball, even with all the extra weight. Hiked up to where the ski jumping was and walked all up and down the luge run ... oh, so much fun! Got to go to the opening cermonies. I was younger then, but much fatter ... I couldn't climb the mountains now with my bad knee (even the replacement, which still isn't feeling all that great).
Glad your vacation has been so wonderful. I remembered the wonderful time Rox and I had up there years ago.
