GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK

Our daughter from Boise is coming home for a few weeks and she has not seen me this thin so that should be fun.
Hope every one is well and having a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Sandy

Lost my cell phone and cell phone case at Target yesterday and had to be calling them when they opened at 8 a.m. Then had to go get it. Like I said if it isn't 1 thing it is another!
I can't wait until tomorrow so I can take my cousin back home. SHe is either on the computer or asleep. My thinking is she could have done that at home. I was hoping for a nice time during the day when my DH was at work bu****ching her sleep and play spades isn't what I call fun. SO I feel I wasted my gas going and getting her and taking her back. Why is it I always say this is the last time I do this and then the next time she asks I say ok??? I need to get that book my other cousins suggested I think the title is HOW TO SAY NO. I is an older book according to her so maybe I can pick it up on ebay or a used book store.
It must be HOT everywhere! I know it is here. I still can't stand the heat after wls. I am cold all the time until I am too hot! LOL! Does that make sense?
Well you all have a good rest of the day!
Michelle
p.s. sorry to just ***** about everything to day!
Nothing going on here today. Carolyn is coming to change the packing and the bandages and then that is about it. I will be glad when this is behind me...and eventually it will be. I have that to hang on to.
My visit with the pcp yesterday went well. She wanted to know what is going on and I talked to her. She called the hospital to see what was happening with the culture and they told her that it wasn't done but there was bacteria and so she started me on the antibiotic...she said that if it needed another kind it could always be changed. It is that Cleosin and I hate that stuff. It just tears up my stomach and personally I didn't think it really helped the last 2 times I have been on it but it is better than nothing at this point. She ordered a lot of blood work. I am going tomorrow morning early to get it done. I just don't have the energy to do it this morning. The outing yesterday just tired me out something terrible. Now at least I feel like someone is doing something for me and just leaving me hanging like I have been. I take that as a positive.
I am going to be doing not much today...just reading. I got a few books by John Edward..the physic guy and they are really good. I enjoy watching him on television and so his books are really interesting to me. I do believe that some people have that gift and there are some people who think they have the gift. Then again there are some people who don't have the gift but charge people for what they think is the gift. You most definitely have to watch that..there are a lot of charlatans out there. I know that man has the gift and uses it well. I think it is a God given talent and gift.
I better get to going. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers going up for everyone. Make sure you plant the seeds of happiness and joy wherever you go and they will most definitely sprout and grow in others lives.
I have been MIA lately, but come in and read every morning, and then feel guilty when I don't post much.
The walking pneumonia I've been fighting is getting gone....thankfully. This morning I'm going for blood work...doc thinks maybe I'm low Vit. D...that's part of lack of energy and frequent tiredness. Hopefully, I'll be back to feistyness very soon. Hate being sick!!
It's a glorious morning on Maui!! The trade winds have been blowing steadily the past couple of days which means the vog from the Big Island doesn't get here, so it's clear and crisp and the ocean is it's usual deep blue out in the middle of the bay, and crystal clear near the shore where I can see turtle heads pop up frequently and fish leap once in awhile. Love that! The whales have departed for Alaska and we all miss them so much.
Jeannie....I read about your fat cat, and I have one of those, too. His name is Nicky and he's a TANK!! He's the kitty found in a pineapple field almost dead and tiny tiny.....maybe three weeks old. I brought him home from the shelter not expecting him to live...and he has eaten everything in sight from the day I had to hold his head over the bowl so he could eat to now when he begs constantly for treats. I don't deny him....if he's happy, I'm happy.
My other kitty, Miss Popoki (Poki), is slim and trim and she eats like a horse...go figure!
To those of you with money problems (include me in that group), I hope something surfaces to help with that. To those of you (include me in that group) with physical challenges, I hope you find answers and are skipping like children soon. I always feel a bit like this is a therapy group where we share our problems AND successes and gain strength from the sharing. For that I am grateful.
Time to shower and get my bag 'o bones body to the clinic for blood work. Cyber hugs to you all.
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen
Vitamin D COULD be the culprit. Mine is very low, and I have been fighting fatigue for a while now. I'm taking mega mega doses. Just in case your doc doesn't know about it, you'll need to supplement with Dry D3. My PCP didn't have a clue, and just told me to take 400 IU of the regular old oil based product. My surgeon (and Vitalady) have me taking 50,000 IU's of Dry D3. I can tell the difference!
Hope you find out what is making you tired SOON.

Hi Eileen and my OFF Friends,
My Mom went in the hospital on Tuesday with Atrial Fibrillation (heart beating too fast and irregularly). They lowered her heart rate a little, gave her an anticoagulant to prevent clots/stroke and are going to take her into normal sinus rhythm today. Bloodwork showed she was low in magnesium and potassium so they are giving her some. She also has a little fluid in the lungs so she is on a diuretic. She is feeling well and much more relaxed. They had her do her own monitoring at home which made her a wreck about whether she was doing it right. Come morning she had no sleep and the doctor called saying the results warranted her going to the hospital to get regulated. Hopefully meds will work at home, if not then a pacemaker. They said they may release her tomorrow. Mom is 82.
We are in the 60's here and not warm. Since June 1st we have had 6 days of sunshine and the weather.com 10 day forecast is all for rain. jeesh.
Hubby and I are taking a day trip to Mystic Seaport for a boat show on Sat. (depending on how Mom is doing). I've already warned him I may sneak away for the stuff I'm interested in and skip the technical boating stuff.
Saw red tailed hawk on Tuesday checking out our bird feeder. The birds were hiding so he left. Took a cute picture of our resident chipmunk on Mon. a.m. So cute.
Good thoughts and good health for all who need them.
