darn it

i was going to surprise you all but pat let the cat out that cartla is here...

so---michael and i are rushing to go somewhere and before i pull out of the driveway (i'm waiting for him to come outside!)  i get a phone call- i ask where are you and she says look behind you!!!OMG---soooooo I GOT CARLA!!!!!!!!

we drove to lambertville for the bird cage michael was picking up ; had dinner, and went to meijers.....we have had showers (cuz remember for me it was day 5-and blingy!) and bed time will be very very soon...

brody and roxie are lovin the linus smell on carla and so it wil be an interesting few days!!!!

oh sweetheart!!! you have no idea HOW surprised i was!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i was a bit disappointed last nite when i came in to tell the gang but i am ok with it cuz i know how much fun it is to know a secret!! and i am so glad she called you to tell you she had arrived safely!!!

i was so jealous of you two having lunch together yesterday  but i'm over that too!!!!

when she called me and i looked in my rearview mirror i couldn't get out of the car fast enough to hug her!!!! she thought is was going to go right thru the car!!! and michael-OMG--he comes out the door and has NO CLUE whose car it was and what i was doing!!!!

**for the rest of the world-carla had called michael twice the day before to have him help her on the secret but he hadn't gotten the calls cuz of setting up for yard sale!! when he did he told me to call cuz he was sure she was calling for me!!!!that's when i calle dher and she was with pat!!!**

It's ok sweetie, it was a good surprise anyhow.  Did Carla tell you we shared an omlette and still couldn't eat it all.....Our Savory restaurant serves BIG portions.

Actually I am working my butt off trying to get everything washed and cleaned so it will be ready when I get home from the hospital.  My cleaning lady is even coming next Friday to clean the house.   I've washed all the rugs, done up all the towels, weeded the gardens, and laid in a big supply of kitty litter for the boss.  I still have to get the van washed and sweep out the garage, and I'm sweating -- sorry, TMI.

I'm one of those idiots who has to have everything in order, just in case, you know???!!

Well, a basketful of clean towels needs to be folded and put away.  Won't be using many of them, as I can't get in the shower until he takes the staples out after 2 wks.....lots of sink baths and washing
my hair in the kitchen sink.  I shouldn't get too dirty, just sitting
around and taking naps......LOL.

Pat, Sending best wishes and healing thoughts your way. Just think how much healthier you are going into this surgery than you would have been pre WLS. I kept a supply of nice "baby washcloths" on hand for my little "non shower" bathing. Any time of day they helped me to feel so much fresher. And just a nice almost hot, wet washcloth also was refreshing. No replacement for a shower but you can anticipate that and the two weeks will pass before you know it. Books, movies, pampering yourself with things that you haven't had time for. . . sounds good to me!

That Carla is more fun than the forever box. You just never know where she will show up next !!

and all ya have to put back in is hugs and a cuppa coffee!!!!!!!!!!
