Linda,

I'm giving up on oatmeal for breakfast for a while.  My band felt so tight when I woke up this morning, I could hardly swallow water (the band can be very fickle).

I'm going to a dermatologist today for a skin cancer screening.  The last time I had one done was about 20 years ago and it was very strange (to me).  That doctor examined me from about 3' away while I was wearing a johnny.  I couldn't understand how he could even see a spot on my skin that way, never mind determine if it was suspicious (needless to say, I never went back to that guy).  Since then, I've had 3 suspicious moles removed (not by a dermatologist).  No cancer, but since I'm in a high-risk group and watched a friend die of melanoma, I think it's time for a real skin exam.

B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: salmon patty, edamame dip
S: feta cheese, cucumber
D: chicken with mango BBQ sauce, Asian 3-bean salad
S: frozen cherries

Jean,I think you are very wise to go for the test, and that doctor did sound like an idiot, there are machines that can give you the facts.
The band is quite interesting to me,and I am happy you are here sharing your experience.
Take care.

Hi there Linda Lou,

I must be doing something right, down another 1/2 lb. So 4 1/2 to go till I am back to the range I feel me at.

Yesterday:
I had toast and coffee, then cottage cheese and blueberries for my morning food, then had the chili relleno (sp) (took off all the breading), then cherries for lunch and snack, then a hot dog with most of the bun thrown away. I don't really like em but it was easy to grill. Then more cherries. For my evening snack I had a granola bar ala Cheryl
. Was going to have another and realized I was NOT hungry in the least so put it back...

My weekend was wonderful and my week is only 4 days long. Next week too. I have Thursday, Friday, Sat, Sun and Monday off and I am one excited girlie.

Cheryl

When my sister makes meat loaf, she puts a packet of that onion soup thing in it and it really makes it taste good.  I just cut up an onion and a bell pepper.  I think I'll make a meatloaf tomorrow.  Meatloaf with potatoes and green beans and corn bread.  YUMMY.
