Morning ladies,

I took my fosamax this morning and have been dizzy ever since. Woke up feeling fine, so it's the only think I can attribute to.

I drank lots of fluids yesterday, so I'm not dehydrated.

Anyone have any thoughts???

No darlin, That I haven't had, only problem was the very first time when it felt like a stick of dynomite  exploded in my stomach for 3 days. Been fine for the last 3 days. Better call doc SOON, if this doesn't clear up, it may be something totally differant. Blessings

 Hi Jean

I guess there are more than one type of generic Fosamax. One kind I took for the first couple of months, and now they gave me this brand. I didn't have any trouble with the first one, so that's why I was curious. I'd call the pharmisist, but he was the one who never told me you had to take it on an empty stomach and remain sitting/standing for 30 minutes. Just said to take it on Sunday like everyone else does.   The putz!

No, never.  But, my Doctors keep stressing to drink lots and lots of water with & after taking Fosamax, so that wouldn't hurt.      Now my GI Dr. has instructed me to also take one cracker immediately after taking fosamax, just to be sure it moves on down without damaging the GI tract.    When you're experiencing dizziness, but sure to move slowly, especially getting up & down.   If it continues, contact your doctor for sure!

Hi Jan,

It was really bad this morning and has gotten a bit better through the day. I've had 40 oz of fluid already, probably a healthy 10 of that was with the pill. I was even concerned about driving earlier, but I think I'm better enough to go run my errands now.

Called and left a message at the doctor's office. But, it's Monday and they're probably swamped. Might not get a call back today, hope so though!

Thanks for responding. Hope you're enjoying your vacation.  If they don't fix CA's budget you might be getting a longer one than you planned for, huh?  We're so glad to have moved away from San Diego when we had a chance. Go****'s so sad!

Take care

Susan

I just got off the phone with the Dr's office. His nurse said that it shouldn't be the meds, but me.....of course....lol.  So, if it's still going on tomorrow I should go in.

Sigh

It never made me dizzy. Every joint in my body ached and I had to stop taking the stuff. The Actonel did the same thing. Bummer. Boniva is the next step.

If you are dizzy, maybe call your doctor?

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
