Hey my Boo! I am having a knee replacement...yay! I do not want to sound whiney, but I hate surgeries, and it has a long recovery time.
I know you are not fond of surgeries too.
As I told George,I'll let my God worry about it,He never sleeps...smile.
I am so happy you are eating well. Please continue. One thing I learned about WLS,is that we do not have a lot of reserve. You need your food.
I am so proud of Dwayne,he really stepped up to the plate.
You know how much I adore you Connie, please just continue to be you,you are the best!
 This you soon,babygirl!!

Linda,

So, I saw the dermatologist yesterday.  He looked just like Dr. Kildare!  Remember him?
Dr. Kildare - Richard Chamberlain
He examined every inch of my skin very closely and said that except for one spot on my shoulder, my spots and bumps are harmless sebaceous cysts and collagen plaques.  He could remove them, but that would leave scars worse than the spots and bumps.  He took a biopsy of the suspicious spot and said his office would call me in a few weeks with the biopsy results.  My shoulder was numb from the lidocaine for a good 6-7 hours and then the spot began to hurt so much, it felt like he had carved a 3" hole out of there instead of a 1/8" plug.   It's still sore this morning but I think I'll survive.

B: coffee protein shake
S1: watermelon
S2: strawberries
L: chicken, Asian 3-bean salad
S: LF feta cheese, cucumber
D: crab salad, broccoli salad
S: frozen cherries

We are eating down our food supply before going on vacation.  Not much of a variety for me.  I need and I mean need to keep my food balanced to keep my blood sugars level.  I'm doing much better.

It is strawberry season here and I've been freezing qt baggies of them.  Minimal sugar and splenda for taste.  I've also started canning cherries.  Oh how I love to can.  This year I'm doing only basics.  No jams or jelly.

On vacation we will be in the mountains and I hope to get a nice supply of Huckleberries.  I love the sweet tart taste in cereals, pies, and cobblers.  All sugar free ... lol  of course ! ! !

B  Oatmeal w/ cranberries
S  Fruit
L  Chili w/ cheese & onion

Good morning to you, our little resident sweetheart. I just want to say that I want to hug you too. So consider yourself hugged by me and my friends always tell me and others that I share the best hugs they ever had.

Food was alright yesterday...but I know that you won't think so. ha ha  You help to keep me grounded and that is what I need right now. With all this crap going on I need the support that you give to me. I just want to thank you for it.

B: nothing...I just can't bring myself to eat in the morning...nothing
L: 1/2 a deli turkey sandwich with mustard..and it was so good!
D: roast beef with peppers, onions and cheese...that was just alright
S: nothing

I know, I know, I need to eat more...between you and the visiting nurse I am working on it...it just isn't coming easy. I never thought that someone would be telling me to eat more..I always heard people telling me to not eat so much. It use to be when I got sick I would eat more and the old family doctor asked me how I could gain weight when I was sick. He could never understand it..oh well..he would fall over if he saw me now. ha ha

I am going to go so I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for you and yours. Know that if you spread your seeds of happiness and joy around they will come back to you.

Brenda,I am so happy you are not mad at me because I do care.
When my appetite is bad,I make myself a good old fashioned milk shake. I use 8 oz of milk, and add 4oz of powdered milf, low calorie ice cream and frozen strawberries and sugar substitute,it feels so decadent, and is loaded with protein.
We have to pamper ourselves sometimes, and I noticed you had some of your favorite meat and mustard, good for you.
Just do your best,it is all you can do. Eat some of your favorites momma,it works.
I have my own little treats, and this is just for me. I make grits, add cheddar, sausage, eggs, and it is protein loaded and nummies.
You have so much love, and I want you to use some of that on yourself.
Most of all,I want you to stand up to that damn doctor and make him give you a different med, obviously it is not working. Please stand up for yourself baby.
If you need me,tell him I am your medical advocate, and I will speak for you.
I have done this before for doctors and insurance companies, when our people were being stone walled.
Now you just spend a little money to pamper yourself, and please know I know about money being tight,I am living on 65 percent of my salary, but God is great (my God),and I will make is,as will you.
I think it is so cool to have a milk shake and think myself naughty.
Of course you want to frappe this in a blender, magic bullet, whatever.
I am sending you a hug, filled with love and respect. You helped me when I was freaking out,I will never forget!

Hang in there Brenda.  I had a couple of slips with the food plan yesterday but recommitted to excercise this morning.  I did 15 minutes on the machine in my bedroom.  Don't know what its called but you straddle the seat like a bicycle and push on both pedals with your feet.  The seat goes up while you pull back on the handlebars.  I'll get another 15 minutes in on some machine at work.

Speaking of work, nothing new to report on that front but I have a couple of ideas.
Keep the faith,  CV Linda

B coffee/kashi/yogurt
s banana
L chili con carne

D chicken/vegie stir fry/nectarine
