Please excuse my absence.......
Hi My Dear OFF Family!!
I haven't been in touch and I apologize. It's been almost 7 months since my surgery and I've lost approx 116#. I used to wear clothes size 3X and now wear size 8-12 (depending on brand) I feel great! My energy has skyrocketed, my self-esteem has improved greatly and just a much happier person.
My oldest daughter had her 4th child this April, a boy after having 3 girls. My youngest child, son, was married on June 20th to a wonderful young lady. The wedding was great! My ex's side of the family didn't recognize me because of my wt loss. I had ordered a size 16 dress back in Feb cuz I didn't know what size I would be by June so I did need alterations..I must admit I looked nice...that is still hard for me to say. I have the image "thing" also where I see myself as still obese but
when I shop I find myself in unfamiliar territory...much smaller sizes. I find that there are much cuter clothes in smaller sizes and I can find them at good prices if I look hard enough. My upper arms have the "wings" but I do wear sleeveless tops and just enjoy feeling "free". I hid under my huge clothes for so many years that this is really a great adventure. My thighs do look like melted wax but I wear longer shorts and do just fine.
I lost quite a bit of hair at my 3rd month but it's coming back in now. I had to be a bit creative with my hair for the wedding.
I've had the "foamies" a few times, my fault and I've only dumped maybe twice but I'll never regret having this surgery...it saved my life in so many ways. The support I received from all of you gave me the strength to make this life change and I thank you all with all my heart!
I've been doing more supervisory work at my job which of course takes more of my time and I try to get in exersize as much as I can so my computer time comes last. I will try to stick my head in here from time to time but I wanted to share with you my post-op success story and say "thanks".
Keep up the great work everyone...love you!!

I love Spring!!!!!!
I love Spring!!!!!!
Hi and you have been missed from the family unit that we have going on here.
I am so glad that things are going so well for you. And it sure sounds like well isn't a good word for it...more like GREAT!!!!! I am so happy that you have had a wonderful journey so far and there is going to be so much more to happen. I hope that you are jotting down the WOW moments along with the dates...they can make some fine reading at times. I was told to do that and never did and I regret it.
I am sure that you made a lovely Mother of the Bride...and another WOW with having to have alterations to a dress that you never wore before. How great is that?
Please post when you can and let us know how great your journey is progressing....even if it is a sentence of "Life is good here." or something like it. :-)

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
