What's new Thursday?
bringing up the mid-day posting--we are packing- the car will have about 2 inches for eileen to sit in-thank goodness for WLS!!!
we spent the nite in teh ER-michael was peeing blood and a clot -wow- about an inch and a half...so- he has a UTI and is now on cipro-and has an aneurism (sic) in his abdomen--got home at 430 and tried to sleep--
i will probly spend teh weekend in a chair at nan's!!!!
we still need to take the dogs to their vacation spa and then we hit the roads-
will check in when i can but know that i am sending hugs and prayers and asking for same for my michael -this latest has us really unnerved-

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Carl is driving along Lake Michigan in St Joseph. It is around 145 here. Michigan tome. I am onthe internet...........We are going to stop in Down town St Joe to catch some lunch then drive thru Benton harbor and get back on the highway. We should be in Traverse City around 5pm.
This is so cool being onthe internet while someone else is doing the driving.....
Well more for now.....By the way did I tell you it is cold here........My thin blood is getting a workout....... Carla

Hi Eileen and all my OFF friends,
I am absolutely crazy. Last night we had a planning meeting for my sister and her husband's 25th Anniv. party we are going to give them. We had pretty much decided that we would have it at a restaurant. But we don't really know all of my brother-in-laws family that well and how complicated paying for it all would get. We are all for splitting evenly but . . . So we reverted back to our offer of having it in my backyard/house depending on the weather. So on the 25th of July I will have 40-50 houseguests.
My family will all share the food preparation and decorating and we are asking the in-laws to do the cake and desserts. But, you know how much work getting the house/yard in shape will be. I must be nuts.
Going to fireworks tonight. Can't wait. I hope it doesn't cloud up or rain.
Hubby is going with his brother on a fire boat to patrol the fireworks on the river. Did better with my eating today. Not many people at work today. It seems a lot took today off to start the holiday early.

Hi All,
I made it to Nans around 745pm this evening. Traffic comming thru South Haven Michigan was the pits. I think it took us 45 minutes to drive 10 miles. Going thru Grand Rapids wasnt any picnic either. I think we lost about an hour of time.
Margo followed shortly after I got here.
My sister called and told me she was in grid lock traffic going to her house in Skokie Illinois. I told her I knew traffic was bad cause I sat at a toll booth on the Chicago skyway cause this buthead wouldnt go thru the toll booth cause he didnt have any money. So we had to back out of the toll booth mind you it was a drive thru one with the I pass. So driving today wasnt in good order.
I think holiday traffic should be more supervised by cops on the road!!!!!
